Sam Smith Tops The Billboard 200 With ‘The Thrill Of It All’

Published: Sunday 12th Nov 2017 by David

Sam Smith has catapulted himself to the top of the Billboard 200 with his new album ‘The Thrill of it All.’

Thrilling news below…

Smith’s soulful set moved 187,000 units in pure sales in its opening week and saw its final figure cruise to the 237,000 point once all of the streams it secured within that week were factored in.

With this, Sam secures his highest-opening week figure to date as his first album ‘In the Lonely Hour’ shifted 166,000 upon its well-received arrival.

Billboard was pleased to add…

The Thrill of It All’s starting unit sum of 237,000 is the seventh largest bow for an album in 2017, and the third biggest for a pop album. Among pop album debuts this year, it trails only Ed Sheeran’s ÷ (Divide) (451,000 units on the March 25-dated chart) and P!nk’s Beautiful Trauma (408,000; Nov. 4). The largest debut of the year among all genres belongs to Kendrick Lamar’s DAMN., with 603,000 units (May 6). Following Lamar: Drake’s More Life (505,000; April 8), Sheeran, P!nk, JAY-Z’s 4:44(262,000; July 29), Logic’s Everybody (247,000; May 27) and Smith.

Good for Sam he is an amazing artist I personally don’t like his music but that doesn’t mean he’s not good just not for me. Side note : people talk so much sh*t about Taylor but she sold 90% of every body yearly sales in just one day & they all had Streaming to help them. If she not a Icon & The New Queen of Pop then who the hell is. Lol

Talent wise not, musically yes. He is just so boring and I knew that his sophomore will be the same suicidal record.

Whatever, I still can’t with that mess of an album cover and his light bulb head
