Taylor Swift’s ‘Reputation’ Sells Over 925,000…In Just 3 Days

Published: Tuesday 14th Nov 2017 by Rashad

It’s a pretty good time to be Taylor Swift if you ask us.

The singer/songwriter, who released her sixth album, ‘Reputation,’ on November 10, has already laid claim to the year’s best-seller despite the set’s inaugural week only being half finished (as of time reported).

Before it even hit shelves, industry analysts indicated the project – which features the hits ‘Look What You Made Me Do,’ ‘Gorgeous,’ ‘…Ready For It,’ and more – had moved over 400,000 copies in pre-orders alone [click here to read that].  A day after the opus landed on digital and brick-and-mortar shelves, Nielsen projected it would move no less than 1.5 million after its first tracking week completed.  If updated reports are any indication, they were right.

After Taylor Swift’s Reputation album 700,000 copies in its first day in the U.S., according to Nielsen Music, the set continues to sell at a swift pace. Through the close of business on Sunday, Nov. 12, the album has now sold over 925,000, according to initial sales reports to Nielsen Music.

Reputation could sell over 1 million copies in the tracking week ending Nov. 16. Further, according to industry sources, it is on track to earn Swift her largest sales week yet.

If Reputation starts with over a million sold, it will secure Swift her fourth album with a million-selling week.

but did she sell over 925,000 in three days though? If so, your info is irrelevant.

OAN i just wish they would quit with the play by play announcements and just wait til the FUCCCCCKKKING week is over before giving he next announcement

Billboard post this early Monday morning there late but I guess it doesn’t really matter she’s doing really well so yeah I’m happy. And they always update sales when any artist is doing really well & selling fast as sh*t they did it for Adele,Drake & When Beyonce released her self titled album.

Just like that scene from Dream Girls, where they showcased “white pop music”, that is Taylor Swift. Sucks shes one of the few(maybe the one) that can push these numbers.

That’s why it’s sold so much. She has not put the albums on streaming services. The only way to listen is to buy it or download illegally

People, you’re living in a special time, this is music history. Taylor swift is truely the artist of our generation. 6 continued massive albums over the space of 10 years .

Good for her! Not a huge fan, but I listened to the album and it’s actually good. She’s a good songwriter and knows how to tell her stories through music, which is why she gets to so many people. It’s not always about vocals and dance routines, but also about the feeling you get when listening to a song. So just stop hating and accept someone’s succes, it’s not even a trend to hate on her anymore. Congrats!

I hate when they keep reporting about an album first week sales day by day in an attempt at making the hype grow even more and more. Even worse when they do it with an album that is “flopping” and they contribute day after day to make people be turned off and eventually make it flop harder. It´s all hype. Sdaly. Very few cases when mucis is really the one that made people buy the album these days.

This woman could put out anything and do massive sales. It’s obvious and plain as day who is supporting who. The biggest black artists don’t even do these numbers. Whites supporting whites!

That’s not the only thing nobody is realizing she only made the album available for purchase not streaming. Her diehard fans which she has many, bought the album thus making it seem as if she is able to pull off these types of sales with album only. If she made it streamable I doubt she’d have these numbers. She’ll be close but not this many 1st week.

  11. Danyboo November 14, 2017

But if her album was set for preorder how are these her first week sales?

But wouldn’t the streams all kind of end up evening out making the sales + SPS number similar in the end?

    The Overrated Queen

  14. GurlWepa1989 November 14, 2017

Don’t hate because your fav can’t even!! No need streaming, pure sale and she conquers. Singer, songwriter, musician and producer. She doesn’t need to shake her ass or pose naked to sell albums. Her talent prevails. Take notes. #LegendaryLane
