Xscape made headlines this week when an oh so awkward interview went viral.
During the tense sit-down on ‘Watch What Happens Live,’ members Kandi Burruss and Tamika Scott clashed over the reason for their earlier friction.
In the time since, many have weighed-in on the drama – which is also playing out on their Bravo show ‘Xscape: Still Kickin’ It.’
However, with a tour around the corner and a biopic in the works, Scott isn’t here for the slander – from others.

Me and the girls visited Watch What Happens Live, with @bravoandy this past Sunday and we got a lot of slack from the interview. As dysfunctional as we look behind the scenes, we are working as mature women to rebuild our friendship/ and working relationships. Yes, things take time and we are making sure to give it just that. Nothing happens over night. To our real fans that believes in us Thank You!

Eloquently put. And to an extent, we agree with her viewpoint.
The reality (of reality) though is that by airing out differences in front of a camera it automatically invites viewers to formulate an opinion. As such, it’s ultimately down to the group to steer the narrative in their favour. Something this statement helps with. Hopefully it sticks.
Regardless, I’m excited to see them on the first stop of their tour. The new music part has me confused because where does that fit on the tv show , tour, biopic timeline.

I’ve always loved the group I really hope that they have all matured enough to let sleeping dogs lye and leave the past just where it is in the past and reunite as Mature ADULTS and move on from what happened years ago and make real music like they did before Real good music is what we really need from them since ladies go in the studio and do your thing sing your hearts out life is to short for the past drama Kandi we need you to be there as well love you all be blessed
This is a REAL moment for Xscape! Let them work through it…I am getting my life from their perfect vocals and sisterhood…they might disagree, but there is love there! And they are the very definition of a GROUP – everyone can sing lol The second episode of Still Kickin It showed Kandi and LaTocha having a wonderful moment of trying to get on the same page and understanding…it was so real! I love them, always will support them and I’m enjoying their personalities and TALENT…and personally, I can’t see them releasing new music without Jermaine’s involvement!
Of course understandable I just think they should hold off on the new music until everyone is on board. That way kandi won’t continue to feel left out. The album wouldn’t feel right with out all the origional members
I didn’t care about them arguing, what made me mad is the fact Kandi not recording new music I hope she change her mind & be one with the group because if it’s in fact just three I won’t support I want all or nothing
They had to choice as they are contractually bond for the tour. However, I’m disappointed in Kandi purge joker face a|s|s. Kand is only doing Xscape reunion to control her “legacy” narrative because she know Jermaine and the others members know she is a industry h|o as she sleep with JD, his father, random producers, countless of losers in Atlanta she even slept with Todd who was a producer of RHOA. I am happy to see them back together, but so much underlying issues keep coming up. You cannot move forward of you are holding grudges.
There is no clarity between Kandi and the group. The subject of Kandi sleeping around is very touchy. She did sleep with Jermaine Dupri, and that’s all Kandi wants revealed. There was a moment in the interview about that and I felt no one had Kandi’s back. It can be uncomfortable to watch. She is only tolerable with Tiny it seems . I hope they hang in there.
Tamika HAD to make this public statement because for the first time their fans have expressed NOT SUPPORTING THEM because we are not stupid enough to support a group that don’t even support THEMSELVES!!!!!
Of course she made this statement to save their ticket sales and viewer ratings! It’s embarrassing and sad to know that the LIVE footage of them revealed how much tension is still there. I truly don’t understand why they even bring up that radio interview that ended the group …. WHY EVEN GO THERE if you are moving forward? WHY???? It’s going to keep causing pain and tension, even though all of the fans seriously don’t GAF about it!!!!
Another album with all 4 ladies, harmonies, big vocals, high notes by Kandi, soft ballads, etc. is ALL WE WANT … who TF cares about their back stories anyway! Their back stories is not what made them classic R&B superstars! They need to realize that and CARRY ON! I’m sick of caring about people who don’t care about themselves! Ugh GROW UP!
