The Numbers Are In! Miguel’s ‘War & Leisure’ Album Sold…

Published: Saturday 9th Dec 2017 by Sam

Miguel is being showered with critical acclaim following the release of his fourth studio album ‘War & Leisure.’

With a full week’s sales under its belt, how are the set’s numbers looking?

The answer awaits after the jump…

According to Hits Daily Double‘s final tally, the ‘Sky Walker’ led LP has shifted the following:

37,369
[Sales Plus Streaming]
********
14,536
[Pure Sales]

The figure is enough to help Miguel snatch a top 10 spot on the Billboard 200. When that tally is unveiled, he’ll be opening at #9.

Given the previous performance of past releases and current sales climate (especially as pertains to R&B), the numbers aren’t…bad.

For artists like Miguel, new music serves as the vehicle to the destination where he shines most – touring! And lucky for his fans, he’s already announced dates.

Immaculate album. Doesn’t matter the low sales. This album converted me over and I can’t wait for a tour. Congrats

“Doesn’t matter the low sales”…considering you’re a rihanna stank, I can understand why you would say THAT…and don’t worry I already know she has hit singles.

Do you know why Rihanna got hit singles ? Bac she is still single. Exactly same as when Beyoncé was single

This is unfortunate. He has arguably one of the top 10 best albums of 2017. I really hope he is grammy nominated next year. Harem is MUSICAL HEAVEN!!!!

The album is a solid effort, I’m honestly surprised, never thought I would be into his music.

The pure sales looks bad but apparently a lot of peeps are streaming for the number to grow to 37,000 SPS.

Those numbers are good but for real there should be some kind of plaque for selling 50k and 100k at this point. Even pop music is suffering. I Feel off with Miguel (and Wiz Khalifa) when the radio stopped playing their music heavy round 2014. But i want to check this album out. It did really good with streams because it was mainly promoted through Instagram and VEVO.

This is a decent start. The streaming numbers indicate that people are interested and listening. Opening without the benefit of a radio hit, I wasn’t expecting more.
