Watch: SZA Soars On ‘SNL’ With ‘Love Galore’ & ‘The Weekend’

Published: Sunday 10th Dec 2017 by Sam

SZA serves as one 2017’s definitive breakout stars.

Her arresting brand of R&B has cuffed in legions of new fans, earned her all sorts of acclaim, and seen her stack plaques on plaques on plaques.

Crowning a year of seismic achievements, the soulful songstress was tapped as the musical guest of this evening’s ‘Saturday Night Live’ – hosted by James Franco.

Backed by a full band and charismatic choir, she performed ‘Love Galore’ with its much talked about unreleased verse. She also rocked the house with fan-favorite ‘The Weekend.’

She did that!

The “new” ‘Love Galore’ verse added fresh dimension to an already dope dime of a track. Thoroughly enjoyed ‘The Weekend’ too.

I downloaded her album and tried to give it a fair listen, many many times, but there’s just something about her melodies and the arrangements in the production that makes me yawn and nod off… my mind starts to wander off elsewhere. Basically her music ain’t for everybody ? ? ?

Her style of singing and music def isn’t for everyone. My friend said that exact same thing. But me on the other hand I got into her music instantly. Every song connects with me. And I’m a hard pleaser when it comes to music and new artist.

Nope. I gave it a listen, or at least tried to, while washing dishes and my mind wondered off to other sh*t. That “The Weekend” song annoys the hell outta me.

Her first Album “Z” was 10 times better, it had more of a variety of sounds. Ctrl is cute but I agree it gets a bit boring.

really loved this performance she’s getting better at her live performances. Only note is, she needs to open her eyes more throughout to engage with us.
It was stunning nonetheless. Shout out to the orchestra and the choir too.

Yeh I instantly connected to her music but agree, it’s not for everyone. Some people listen and like “WTF” is she saying, gibberish? Lol. But I love her. I’m sure she will win at least 2 Grammys next year

I Didn’t Like SZA Live….Until Now!! SZA’s Love Galore Performance Was Great! The Choir Was Lit Af! The Vocals Was On Point! I Like How They Switched Up The Lyrics & Switch Up The Verses Because It Made Me Pay Attention To SZA Performin’ & Not My Own Performance ? The Weekend Performance Was DOPE!!! The Flute, Horn, & Recorder Totally Matched With The Song!! Again, The Choir Was Lit & SZA Delivert Especially @ The End!!! If SZA Keeps Performin’ Like This, Then I’ll Go To Her Concert Next Time! I Didn’t Go To Her Concert In Atlanta On Purpose Because The Performances I Seen Were Not Good. I See Growth Now ?
