New Song: Xscape – ‘Here For It’

Published: Monday 1st Jan 2018 by Sam

Reunited R&B icons Xscape are wasting no time taking 2018 by storm.

The group, minus member Kandi (who is starring in ‘Chicago’ on Broadway), are pressing on full steam with new EP ‘Here For It.’

Due on January 12th, the 6-song set serves as the first body of work the ladies will  have released since re-grouping last year.

Ahead of its arrival, Tiny, Tamika, and LaTocha have debuted its title track.

Take a listen below…

Famed for their harmonies and vocal range, this definitely skews in a different direction.

We’re all for variety though, so while it doesn’t resonate with us as much as ‘Dream Killa’ and ‘Wifed Up,’ it is a welcome change of pace.

So they’re deciding to chase trends… Ok. And while we’re on the subject, this sounds like a dated version of a “current” sounding sound. Like a bad N.E.R.D. or Missy ripoff.

Sorry I’m not here for it I’m sure their hometown will eat thus up

I’ve never heard so much dumb and random slang used in a song. This is terrible for ANY artist, not just Xscape. No fan is “here for it”.

My girl Kandi dodged that BULLET lol…terrible! Kandi is the voice of the group, point blank period…they are all great singers, but it’s Kandi’s tones that makes Xscape distinctive from the rest! Just listen to the Always Be My Baby Remix…who’s voice is in the front? Kandi Yams hunnie! T-Boz is the voice of TLC while we’re at it too *Sips sparkling strawberry*

Gyou crazy to say Kandi is the voice of the group cause of one song. Kandi can never be the voice of Xscape sorry!

      • Electrikblue January 2, 2018

She’s not the voice they all agree TaMeeka is but everyone can tell that Kandi’s deep tone is missing

I think because of the ladies of are talent, that is why they are able to pull of this
new type of sound, but still have that old school flavor. I like Dream Killer and Here
for it better than Wifed up. At first I was only looking for Kelly Rowland and June’s Diary to release new music, but I am going to add Xscape to my list.

You’ll are better than this xscape. Sounds like something Mariah Lynn would do.

  13. Gee January 1, 2018

It is nothing wrong with trying something new but this is not for a legendary R&B 90’s group of Xscape’s caliber.

When you wind up through an emergency lck need you don’t have time and energy to wait.
You cann educate trusted family members about this and they should know about whyere it ccan be kept.
