The Numbers Are In! Camila Cabello Album Sold…

Published: Saturday 20th Jan 2018 by Sam

Camila Cabello has been on quite the journey.

Her tenure in Fifth Harmony came to an abrupt end in 2016 and much of last year was spent testing out the solo waters by way of collaborations, buzz tracks, endorsements, and touring.

And then ‘Havana’ happened.

A global smash, the melodic number catapulted Cabello into mass consciousness and put her on a fast-track t0 being a viable star.

It crucially also laid the firmest of foundations for her debut solo debut – which, after a name change, was simply christened ‘Camila.’

Released on January 12th, the LP was tipped for big things. Did it deliver? The answer awaits below…

Following a hard fought battle with the soundtrack for ‘The Great Showman’ (which had been #1 for two weeks) Cabello has come up on top – according to Hits Daily Double.

With the final numbers tallied, this is what she sold…

The feat sees the 20-year-old log her first #1 – not just as a solo act – but as artist overall.

For, the two albums she released as part of Fifth Harmony both debuted within the top 5.

The cherry on top of her success cake looks like it’ll be manifesting in a matter of days, because – fuelled by the sales of the album – ‘Havana’ also is poised to hit #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 too; an achievement that would see Cabello occupy the top spots on both the single and album tally.

Meme planted that seed chile! Spoke it into existence! *That big white lady from Trading Spouses voice* lol yaaaaaas….great for her! And a #1 song too? She’ll join the ranks of a very select number of artists that have achieved that!

More money, and more success since going solo… She always wanted to be a solo artists and fifth harmony was part of her journey to be here. (she auditoned as a solo artist). Even if you dont like her music ( its trash)… She won the battle between her and 5th harmony. She did what they couldnt do! Congratulations boo

Yeah but I’mn certain if the label pushed FH as much as they pushed her they would have seen similar success. It’s not like you can say “Havana” or the the other flop now “promo singles” CC dropped were exponentially better than the music 5H dropped from their latest album. Because its not.

Case of payola and label not wanting to look dumb investing in her.

A writer who writes for other ppl and makes relatable music?

      • BeyKnowlesBest January 21, 2018

I meant vocally via her snl performances.

  5. Theman January 20, 2018

    This is good for her.

This is all bought. I mean who seriously buys that “Havana” is still selling this much and or such a surprise hit after its AUGUST release. It just is not a real sleeper hit and its clearly being paid for by the label to avoid a flop single and artist. They paid their way out of having her be a Nicole Scherzinger.

Well whatever. the future will only show the truth when she isn’t able of following it up with more success.

    • GurlWepa1989 January 20, 2018

someone is salty!! Nicole is old and play out, she’ll never have a success that she always wanted. Label is paying for this and that…just like the label is streaming and wasting their time and money purchasing her single….u sound stupid and redundant.

congrats Camila!! Well deserved, when was the last new artist that released their debut last year top this? Sza..whats good? Plus she’s made a record in progress by hitting iTunes chart upon release with over 100plus countries with a debut..your favorite couldn’t. Havana also became a global smash. Camila’s a very talented girl and beautiful, success well deserved.

    Spotify worldwide chart
    #1 Havana
    #5 Never Be the Same
    Go Camila

  10. Jamie January 20, 2018

She’s still far from the Beyonce of tghe group. She has a looooonnnnggggg way to go. LeToya Luckett has a number one debut album, and now, is no where to be found. It’s al l about moving past that sophomore curse.

    • GurlWepa1989 January 20, 2018

Camila is young, talented and has the universal appeal. She’s gonna go far..and I agreed that she’s got a long way to go to even get on Bey’s level. But I believe she will carve her own lane in this music biz. Girl can sing, write and play instruments.

      • Jamie January 20, 2018

        Agreed!

  11. DanYiel Iman January 21, 2018

Cant wait for Normani to come snatch her wig

    • Faf January 21, 2018

That won’t happen she can dance but she can’t sing and there’s nothing to make her original besides being dark skinned

      • Zar February 4, 2018

… she definitely can sing and PERFORM. Wym??

  13. Kim.Kesha& Pam January 21, 2018

Payola at its best! They really paid for this girl’s success just to spite 5H. The album is trash & so is she.

  14. ZFA January 21, 2018

Yikes. After all that promo…. She can’t even be the next Meghan Trainor… Meghan debuted with almost 200K w/o having much a name established yet..oh well. Basic bih era continues..

  15. Joe January 24, 2018

I smell a bunch of haters !! The more of them It means the greater she is. Good Job Cami!!!
