New Song: Ne-Yo – ‘Good Man’

Published: Thursday 8th Feb 2018 by Sam

Ne-Yo is back! And this time it’s with the title track of his new album ‘Good Man.’

Though renown for his own production gravitas, the R&B aficionado borrows D’Angelo‘s ‘How Does It Feel’ as the foundation for the single.

Produced by DJ Camper, the track sees the soulful crooner serenade his lover with all the ways he wants to be the model person for her.

And he stresses that this is a thread that is sewn throughout his LP:

“This album focuses on the journey of what it is to be a good man: a good man to your spouse, a good brother to your brother, a good person to the world.

I am not proclaiming to be perfect. A Good Man makes mistakes, learns from those mistakes, therefore to not then repeat those mistakes. Being a A Good Man is a journey.”

Take a listen below…

Strong.

The sample serves as an immediate grab and will no doubt help Ne-Yo cater to R&B purists with its sprinkles of nostalgia.

Sonically, the song is familiar ground for the singer but with a mature twist and seems equipped to deliver decent results on the Urban and Urban A/C formats.

This song sucks imo. I hate his diction and phrasing in this it sounds to try hardy and similar to Usher. He needs to go back to his own sound. Thumbs down

He has turned vegan recently. That´s the message he is talking about. He has seen light after watching “What the health” and then getting more info by himself. It´s a disgusting reality on several fronts. If all the people were exposed to the facts half of the people would turn vegan instantly. Industries keep trying to avoid it. But judging by the numbers there´s no stopping. Fortunately.

    The song… it´s not for me 🙂

This is so damn GOOD but not for him. I feel as those Ursher had something to do with this track, in either production or writing or vocal producing or SOMETHING because not only is this his type of sound (before “Looking 4 Myself”) Neyo’s phrasing and placement and background production SCREAMS URSHER. Maybe it was demo…IDK BUT the song is damn good but not for him.

I would like to say SORRY to all the people I have offended with my racist, hateful, insensitive, and offense comments. I am truly gutter trash that is homeless and seeking mental help. I am trying to stop being such a racist. I am going to turn over a new leaf and even set my faithful s**** JOHNVIDAL free from me, his master.
