New Song: Tinashe – ‘Faded Love (ft. Future)’

Published: Monday 12th Feb 2018 by Sam

Tinashe teams with Future for ‘Faded Love’ – the latest taste of her long-awaited sophomore album ‘Joyride.’

Having returned with the punchy ‘No Drama,’ its follow-up is a mellower affair and skews boasts ample island-spice.

Take a listen below…

If showcasing her versatility was the goal, then Tinashe somewhat succeeds with this.

We’re still awaiting that total knockout track, but this makes for an enjoyable listen.

The Future feature worked better as a vocal back and forth, as his verse didn’t add much of anything to the track.

Still, his name should help garner this added attention.

What do you think, though: Hit or Miss? Let us know below…

….so she’s already moved past No Drama? She really needs to properly stick to one song and promote the hell out of it, just how Camila Cabello promoted da fuq out Havanna.

    Get. It. Togetha. Gurl.

She may be on ther ninth life at this point….

It already peaked though at 23 on the R&b charts. That song is not going anywhere but downhill now.

    • meme February 12, 2018

the plan was always to release the 3 singles at once (Drama, Faded, Me so bad).

BTW Me so bad is the knock out track. That one is hype AF.

      • Whoops February 12, 2018

@Meme Then why not just release that one? And skip all of this hype-less hype? If Me So Bad is the knockout, she should’ve just went with that one, instead of wasting time and resources on these scattered buzz tracks that she won’t commit to. And in the process, some of the people who were listening in for her “comeback” will have lost interest by the time she gets to the third track because she drew it out too long. She is squandering all of these chances she’s getting with her lack of focus. She’s definitely on her ninth life. If she doesn’t get big with this album, she never will.

AGREED! Some of the girls be trying to move like the rappers, but they are two different spaces.

  2. China February 12, 2018

Poor Marketing. Poor Focus. This girl will NEVER make it happen at this rate. Produce a Good Single with those limited vocals. Promote it. Radio call-ins. Stop releasing flop after flop because the Record company will eventually get sick of INVESTING MONEY INTO A SINKING SHIP

A song like this requires a few kicks in the vocals, think of when Rihanna sings the part “Want you to make me feel, like I’m the only girl in the world”, she ranks in the power and kick in the vocals, that’s what this song needs, especially on the bridge part where she goes “Let’s just feel this feeling”.

Otherwise Tinashe I’m a fan but this song is a no for me.

    • Fancy BISH February 12, 2018

Tinashe makes Rihanna feel like Madonna lol…Rihanna is on a whole NOTHER level! Everytime Rih Rih comes back to the general public, she has different vocal flourishes! Plus, Rihanna passes the pen! She’s like Nippy in the fact she makes a song her own regardless if she wrote it…these pop girls chase Rihanna unconsciously lol ?

  4. The Wig Snatcher February 12, 2018

The song would sound better without Future. Also, the mixed production sounds unnecessary. Plus, I’d rather here Tinashe sing instead of talk-singing.

  5. Cruz February 12, 2018

Love this sound, her commercial success doesn’t change the fact that she puts out consistently better music than 95% of popular artists today.

Maybe she should “work with ed sheeran” and sell out like everyone else.

    Nope – Tinashe is dope!

  6. Fancy BISH February 12, 2018

Her songs sound like she arrives at the studio with zero concepts ready lol…like, she’s just chasing a vibe…GWORL, you better get some structure! First, you need some signature riffs and ad-libs! Stop using Drake, Miss Fenty and Ciara for vocal inspiration…get your OWN, ya heard? ? Next, stop swagger jacking anything and everything…stand for something! And most important, get something to actually talk about! I swear you ain’t talking about a damn thing! Drake might rest on his signature sound, but he comes up with something to actually talk about! God’s Plan for example! You have no identity! You crute (lol) and you have a voice…but you have no angle…at ALL…NONE…ZILCH…we’re trying to root for you!

    • meme February 12, 2018

I agree, shes def chasing a vibe. I get that too, like she kinda lost with direction and just goes in the studio with her hands out. However I do think the way she sings is very signature, no matter the genre or vibe…her music for the most part sounds like her own. She has this very spaced out, high on cloud 9 thing with her music….I think that’s her thing.

      • Fancy BISH February 12, 2018

I still hear Rihanna when I close my eyes lol ? I get what you’re saying, but it’s not enough in my opinion…she sounds pleasant and soothing, but she needs more…she hasn’t embarrassed herself vocally! She sounds good…but certainly not anything I would put extra coins into the machine for lol ??

  7. Adina… adina… say adina February 12, 2018

This song goes absolutely nowhere vocally… #overit. I didn’t even finish it all the way through

  8. Jamie February 12, 2018

Ok girl, just don’t get pregnant.

  9. XYZ February 12, 2018

Isn’t she able to make a song alone?

  10. #TeamTinashe Stan (BUY/STREAM “No Drama” Now Available Everywhere) February 12, 2018

    Girl…………. smh

  11. Jackx February 12, 2018

She needs to work with better writers and producers. This song ain’t gonna cut it.

  12. Sandra February 12, 2018

I was looking forward to this as the future featured song on her debut is the only song I still listen to.
I was dissapointed! This song could’ve been and sounded like it was sung by any pop chick.
She really is the US Rita Ora.

  13. stan February 12, 2018

huh… it’s not that bad imo. the chorus is definitely catchy.

  14. Barbara ‘Hunnychile’ Perez February 12, 2018

    Sooooooo good, love it x.

  15. Liam February 12, 2018

I love No Drama and this is hot too ….. not sure why people give her a hard time aside from the pop mess her urban songs are usually lit and this song is pretty dope imo

  17. DanYiel Iman February 12, 2018

Didn’t Mathew say light skinned woman will win?!! ?

  18. Dis Gurl February 12, 2018

I’m not a tinashe fan but why do I feel like if she had let this song baked in the studio it could’ve been a bop/hit. I honestly think Rihanna could’ve recorded this song and it would’ve been crazy. OMG Tinashe, you missed an opportunity for a top 20 hit again. Next time!

  19. eric February 12, 2018

This is the last time I will choose to listen to a Tinashe song. They’re all the same.

  20. S****** Blonde February 12, 2018

    She is very pretty.

  21. A&R February 13, 2018
