Sales Malfunction! Justin Timberlake Album Numbers Revised Down (Again) After Panned Super Bowl Performance

Published: Wednesday 7th Feb 2018 by Sam

Historically the Super Bowl, with its 100 million+ viewers, is considered one of the most powerful promotional platforms in the world.

However, in an unprecedented development, it’s actually having an adverse affect on the album sales of this year’s Halftime headliner Justin Timberlake.

As reported, initial estimates for the ‘Man of The Woods’ LP (which were already lower than anyone would have imagined pre-release) were revised down to 300,000. Yet, they’ve now dropped– again.

Details below…

According to Hits Daily Double, post Super Bowl, the project is now looking at a debut in the following sales region:

250,000-275,000
[Sales Plus Streaming]
**********
210,000-225,000
[Pure Sales]

Ouch!

This is dismal on several fronts.

First, not in recent memory has any Halftime headliner actually been impacted negatively by such mass exposure.

What’s more, when placed in context of Justin’s past performance (see: 900k opening for ’20/20 Experience) and initial industry forecasts for ‘Woods’ (700k), there’s no escaping it – this is a disaster.

He “may” be able to salvage and save face with the growing success of ‘Say Something (ft. Chris Stapleton)’ and the strong ticket sales for his tour. But, there is a very palpable problem here: namely the disconnect between JT and the general public.

Any guesses as to why? Let us know…

Your thoughts?

The GP is done with him…his stans will allow his arena tour to do well…even though he should be doing stadiums at this point

    • Saturia Smith November 7, 2018

His ego is too big and he brags too much about his life. Though he pretends with false modesty.

  2. Markjones February 7, 2018

    That Janet #blackcat

  3. China February 7, 2018

STFU, while i’m NO Justin Timberfake fan but this is just HATE. The boy sold triple what others are selling right now. WHILE I’VE HEARD THE POP CD AND ITS VOID OF SOUL OR RNB (OTHER than Montana which is the best song on the CD – very adult vibe). Stop hating on him, this is getting real tired. The CD sold 275,000 copies, thats Incredible.

    • Me again… February 7, 2018

No BI_TCH you STFU! He’s a flop plain and simple! He had heavy promotion, 4 singles released with videos, and headline the biggest sporting event in the word 2 days after his new music is dropped, and he only does 250-275KI??? He’s a flop!! Oh, and he’s not selling 275k, it’s says 210-225K pure sales. Those are streams which gives him 250-275K dummy!!!!

      • China February 7, 2018

STFU you trailer park LOSER, tell you stupid fukin Mama, she should have swollowed your loser A**

        Lmaoooo Anytiiiimmmee and Anyplaacee

    • StarXavi February 7, 2018

It’s not like they are comparing him to other people, they are comparing his sales to his past sales, its no shade it’s reality. There is a disconnect and people are wisening up to the fact that Justin is kinda basic.

  4. S****** Blonde February 7, 2018

Sam recycling, we know this is his flop era, we don’t care, he will still have a career after this backlash, not many can say that.

    • Paulo February 7, 2018

“we” hmmm that’s funny cause I remember quite clearly you saying two weeks ago that JT would be eaten up by the GP once again and “only” TGJ and Black Twitter were against him. kiiii

  5. Love February 7, 2018

Justin isn’t selling because don’t like him not because they hate him. Big difference. Beyoncé’s fans hated Keri but she had enough people who liked her to help her sell 2 million with PGR. The issue here is that a huge portion of his fans were black and a lot of us are starting to wake up and see just how much he’s stolen from our black artists while doing so little to support the community he’s made his money from. His other fans like him but not enough to help him weather a PR storm like this which is why this happened. Basically, he’s lost a huge chunk of the fan base he needs to do numbers like he used to. Let this be a lesson. Unwarranted privilege and the manipulation of minorities won’t be tolerated. Only the real (Pink etc) will survive.

    • Your Name February 7, 2018

That’s a lie. He isn’t doing the huge numbers originally predicted because of the negative press surrounding him, weak singles and unexciting SB performance. Plus he’s pushing 40 and white people usually dump their popstars once they hit the 30 and over club.

      • XYZ February 7, 2018

„White people“ dumb them? Hell, where are the black musicians over 40? Everyone is getting dumbed in this Branche at this age. Or do you think that Migos will still mumble when they hit 40?

      • Your Name February 7, 2018

At least older black artists can still tour successfully, release music and remain somewhat relevant in other avenues. SWV, Xscape, Monica, Brandy, Toni, Tamar, Aretha, Patti, Gladys, Boyz II Men. Only a select elite few white artists can do the same (Madonna, U2, Bruce Springsteen and a few more).

  6. SMH February 7, 2018

Karma ALWAYS has the last word. I do not feel sorry for him one bit. He coasted on his white privilege for the last 14 years to the point where he got so comfortable that he thought he was untouchable. Not to mention his arrogance over the last few weeks leading up to the Superbowl. Both him & the NFL deserve every bit of negative press they’re getting. They actually thought that Janet Jackson was that much of a non factor that folks wouldn’t remember what happened & how his career soared on the back of her public lynching. Karma wins.

    • DS February 7, 2018

YES!!!!! You took the words right out of my mouth. Spot on assessment. Every. Single. Word. Funny how white people always think legendary black artists will be forgotten and can be stepped over without backlash. Just like Robin Thicke (and the token black sidekick Pharrell) tried to pull a fast one with Marvin Gaye’s estate, Justin has always stolen from and appropriated black culture. Not only has he not publicly apologized to Janet, Prince didn’t even like his ass and he just bogarted his way in doing a Prince tribute. Justin’s a charlatan and has been selling backyard rocks as diamonds to folks for years… and now everyone is finally waking up. Time’s up (on disingenuous white folk profiting on black culture).

      • BOB February 7, 2018

YOU DONT KNOW IF PRINCE LIKED HIM OR NOT?! It was such a small case, and the family approved and accepted the TRIBUTE. It was a TRIBUTE! Because he’s a fan. You guys are seriously so delusional. Janet was IN on that Half Time Show stunt, and you should be mad at NFL, not Justin. It was a schemed stunt!

And the black people he so happens to be working with, he has been working with for the last 15+ years? Because they are friends and respect and admire each other and creates something speciel. He doesn’t steal or discredit or disrespect Pharrrell, Timbaland or his idols. He’s very much doing the opposite. So many people on this site is so off with this Timberlake era. Seriously.

      • ??? February 7, 2018

lmao gurl shut up, prince’s reads of this clown are public knowledge. stop making excuses for this flop star lmfaooo

      • ??? February 7, 2018

and check your facts b*tch, timberp*ss was IN on the so called “stunt” too, but Janet took ALL the blame. stop defending justina cuz she’s getting her karma in fullforce lmfaooo

    • Retribution February 7, 2018

This. What I feel word for word. I am so glad he is finally getting what he has deserved for a really long time. Speak that truth.

      • BOB February 7, 2018

NFL should be blamed for banning only Janet (if that’s what happened?). Not only Janet, nor Justin. It was a planned show!

    • Dave February 8, 2018

Love what you said!!! Perfect!!! And the #janetjacksonappreciationday trended higher than the SuperBowl hashtag! Karma has the last laugh!

  7. Sanity Slain February 7, 2018

Now we know people from the older generation hate social media. The only way artists like Justin can thrive is when voices that criticise them are silenced. I didn’t realise that there was a serious racialised element to what happened with Justin and how happy he was to watch the same people that black balled her elevate his career. Every swine has its day and today is Justin’s. Nobody, not even Beyonce, is above criticism and these arrogant singers would do well to learn that.

  8. @KurtisLeeSinger February 7, 2018

    Several things to be fair
I think it’s an amalgamation of all below

    • No apology to Janet Jackson
    • Him dissing starts doing Vegas like he’s too good for it
    • People didn’t like the fact he didn’t bring it Nsync (Beyonce brought out DC3)
    • Bad material this is his worst album by far I would even rather listen to old Nsync stuff
    • Bringing out Prince even though he had family permission was corny considering he dissed Prince & Prince hated him
    • All of the above comes down to one thing HIS ENTITLED ARROGANCE!!

And no I’m not a hater I’m a fan Iv seen him in concert twice in just giving the facts!!!

    • Brooke February 10, 2018

Exactly and let us not forget how he has stepped all over Britney Spears to get the fame he now has. His solo career did not REALLY take off until Cry me a River. He STILL brings her up all these years later. It also does not help that people find him and Biel to be a boring couple. I am not going to lie I enjoy his music usually, but Man in the Woods is not good. IF his music was good then ppl would buy it but it just is not. Karma is finally catching up to him. I guess what goes around does come back around lol..

  9. Jasmine February 7, 2018

    FLOP

  10. Iyy February 7, 2018

Are these numbers supposed to be bad?
In today’s music industry selling 200,000, almost five years after your last album is pretty impressive. I’ve never seen so much hate over something that happened from so long ago.
I’m not even a huge fan of Justin, he has a few bops I like. This outrage over something half of you aren’t old enough to even remember needs to stop. If man in the woods is a flop, what does that make unbreakable? An uber flop? This pity party for a legend who can stand on her own two feet is disrespectful to her legacy. All her fans have been doing for the latter of the 2010’s is demand, whine and hate! All DECADE so far

    • ??? February 7, 2018

lmfaooo oh boo hoo b*tch, stfu and seethe. janet released unbreakable independently, timberp*ss did the superbowl and had the music industry machine behind him, so yes these numbers are a FLOP. he couldnt stand on his white privilege and now yall are mad? lmfaooo. he disrespected a black icon and got away with it scott free for over a decade, now karma came back and b*tch slapped this h0 lmfao. save your tears bishhh, and keep WHINING for this MEGA FLOP. lmfaooooo.

    • Me again… February 7, 2018

Yes those numbers are bad for Justin, even in today’s climate of sales. He had the biggest promotion machine, and still couldn’t benefit. And no, there is no hate, just facts! If you need anymore elaboration, read my reply above….Anymore questions???

    • Jasmine February 7, 2018

Iyy you are retardded if you think people are “hating.” People are laughing at these numbers. Do you even know the difference between hating and laughing at someone’s expense or are you just slow?

      • Iyy February 7, 2018

First off you can’t even spell the insult you’re trying to even use. Secondly a b**** that doesn’t know how to spell “retarded” shouldn’t be so invested in celebrity drama, when school is the clear path you need to be on. Thirdly, you b****** are full grown adults invested in a situation that happened 14 years ago. You’re laughing at 200,000, I’m laughing at all the excuses you lot make over unbreakable being a certified flop. Your insults don’t do anything for me because you live through people who wouldn’t spit on you if you were on fire. You’re an adult who lives on social media and obsess over total strangers. Get your life together and stop living through people living theirs. Janet is a legend but her fans are stupid!

      • Jasmine February 8, 2018

@Ivy I spelled it that way because the word retardded is blocked on here so rather than have a bunch of astericks everyway I purposefuly mispelled it. To sum up what transpired…Jasmine schooled you on the difference between hatind and laughing at someone’s expense. You demonstrated you got your lesson from Jasmine by not refuting her message. Now, you are grasping at straws to stay evil / spiteful and put Janet and me down because your fav Justina is a FLOP! Girl get your life together. My life is just fine and very full. You sir or mam are the one living your life vicariously through celebrities so you should take your own advice. I did not buy Unbreakable so do not assume I am Janet’s biggest fan nor her least fan (I saw STOW tour). Get a life.

      • JC February 12, 2018

        Ugly w****!

    • stan February 7, 2018

if he were with an indie label with little promotion and marketing, then yea 200k is an awesome number.

but this guy had a machine behind him. hell, he did half-time at SUPERBOWL the same week this album is released. with all the $ the label has spent on him, they’re expecting a ton of return. 200k = underperforming, plain and simple.

    • Retribution February 7, 2018

Yes this is VERY bad considering his last album sold almost a million copies in the 1st week, AND he has just done the Superbowl which is the biggest event worldwide for any artist to use as a platform for a successful album campaign. To do 210,000 copies after the Superbowl is a major FLOP.

  11. ??? February 7, 2018

lmfaoooo good for ha. and you can call me a hater all you want, IDGAF ITS WHAT SHE DESERVES LMFAOOOOO.

  12. Yayayaaz February 7, 2018

People won’t forget what he did to Janet and Britney. Honestly if they had popped out at the Super Bowl even at the end it would’ve been awesome!!

  13. TheNewKidOnTheGrape February 7, 2018

He’s not floppin enough lmao !
I hope tomorrow the real numbers are under 200k ahahaha
This is so gooooooood for all the cunty white privileged !

    • Jasmine February 7, 2018

      I agree

  14. Ocean February 7, 2018

275 SPS for someone of his calibre .. at least he sold a good chunk. This should be his last rodeo on the music scene. He was making a great path in the acting world. This is where his lane needs to be.

Fact is the album isn’t good. Pharell and Timberland have become some self indulgent producers sans the NERD flop …

Also Bruno Mars claimed his spot and does it much better imo.

Justin has classics .. he can do movies and vegas residencies …

    • Jasmine February 7, 2018

She think she is too good for Vegas and she really can’t act. I think what is missing is an audience. Her team went after redneck money this time and it backfired. Redneck men consumers like loyal rednecks and redneck women like sexx appeal. Justina lacks that so flop flop flop.

      • JC February 12, 2018

Flop flop flop? Is that the sound of your daddy’s d smacking your face you filthy piece of sh*t?

  15. Allen February 7, 2018

Justin got used to the fact everything is given to him so easily.
Now I wonder what is he thinking about such cold reception?

  16. Boytoy1814 February 7, 2018

Ohhh well that’s Prince karma 4 dat ass! How dare u have your album release party @ Prince home & give that sorry ass tribute when u know Prince never liked u. He got what he deserved. #Suffer!

  17. The Wig Snatcher February 7, 2018

The irony is that the Black people of generation X allowed Justin to get away with his privilege and the black millennials are Woke enough to not let that shiit fly anymore.

    • Your Name February 7, 2018

But Justin is a Millenial lol… and I’m sure most of his fans are around his age….
      Millenials were born between 1981-1997ish.

    • SMH February 7, 2018

@Wig Snatcher, you’re actually very right. It always boiled my blood that the generation of black folks from back then allowed him to get away with this for so long. I have my issues with the current generation, but I am SO thankful that they appear more woke than the previous generation. The new black millenials are not letting anyone get away with anything anymore.

      • Cornbread February 7, 2018

From “back then”? You act as if he’s Elvis Presley or something lmao. Justin’s reign as a solo artist was in the 2000’s. The majority of his fan base are mid 20’s-late 30’s. Soooo are you blaming black Millennials???

    • Jasmine February 7, 2018

I don’t think it is fair to generalize people. Justin’s team did not put out albums frequently so how can people not buy something that does not exist. If anyone is to blame you should be criticizing the black rappers who helped Justin’s sales post 2004…TI, Jay-z, Timbaland, etc. He used those rappers’ creativity and fame to get sales and take the attention away from his lackluster presence as an artist. Also, I am a big Janet fan but let’s face it…back in 2004 she was not the most likeable artist. She always had this b|tch presence that shines even when she is doing interviews with a childlike voice. It was not until her interview with Larry King that I realized that she is very guarded, very shy, and has huge trust issues with people in general. It took time for black people at large to fall back in love with Janet, the beautiful girl with the beautiful smile, all over again.

      • Retribution February 7, 2018

Janet was not a likeable artist in 2004? I vehemently disagree with this. Janet was the golden child who everyone loved, and could do no wrong until the Superbowl happened. She never came off like a b**** and always very humble, regardless of how much success she had, so I have no idea hat you are talking about.

      • Jasmine February 7, 2018

Retribution Janet definitely was the “golden child who everyone loved” in the 80s, 90s, and now the golden women everyone loves. Back in 2004, something was happening with her I cannot put my finger on nor explain better but it was almost like she was being setup to fail just like MJ was at the time. In 2002, Janet decided to start expressing her sexuality publicy through music and performances and many white women became jealous of her, her body, and her dating white male celebrities. It was as if her good girl image got traded in temporarily to sell sexx appeal. Many people did perceive her to be a b|tch because she was standoff-ish and they misunderstood why she is so shy and reserved. I do believe there is a side to Janet that the public does not know and starting around 2002 that is when the public wanted to feel like they knew their stars (reality tv surge) and that is where the disconnect with Janet began. The public is not going to get to know a star like Janet on a personal level ever so that is probably why some started regarding her as a b|tch even though she certainly is not one and is one of the nicest shy stars ever.

      • Your Name February 7, 2018

Huh? Janet started expressing her sexuality in 1990… She hadn’t been a “good girl” since the Rhythm Nation era.

      • Jasmine February 7, 2018

@Your Name No Janet’s expression of her sexuality in the 90s was not overtly sexual like it was starting in 2002. In the 90s she was considered a s** symbol the 90s way (ie a s*** black woman who is not threatening to white women ~ Janet / Toni / Mya / Aaliyah / Ashanti). In 2001-2002, something changed and it also reflected in her album sales of All For You. That record was a hit and sold millions but also represents a huge drop in sales from her previous album Velvet Rope. All For You was also the first Janet album that required the Parental Advisory sticker on it.

  18. NeneBadWeave February 7, 2018

The reason he flopped was because he had been off the road, and not been performing for a while. The key ingredient missing, was passion, for his craft. This is the one time you need to bring your A* game, as it goes down in history. The director ruined it. He needed a better opening, and better songs. And he need that wow moment, of NSYNC being there, he didn’t recognise the success he had with them. There was some okay moments like the dance break. The Prince tribute was off.

    • Jasmine February 7, 2018

The director is not at fault. Justina is at fault. Nice try at shifting the blame but all that promotion and a flop album means the album is not good and the people are not feeling his new singles (there are like 4 music videos and 5 singles out there to promote this album).

  19. LB February 7, 2018

LMAO Janet, Britney, Prince and black Twitter won. The evil has been defeated.

    • J February 7, 2018

    Damn! Lol.

  21. truthteller February 7, 2018

Man of the Woods is shaping up to be this year’s Witness

    • Tori February 7, 2018

This worst than “Witness”, at least Katy had a moderate hit with “Chained To The Rythm” and a good video with “Bon Appetit” and her album had great track but non single worthy. This is a living mess. He hasn’t succeeded with anything but YouTube views and those only go so far. At least he has his snapchat filter, its cute. I guess you can say Katy didn’t have that.

  22. Chizoma Ihebuzor February 7, 2018

LMFAO this is a mess! Look, I actually like Justin’s music (well his old stuff) and I think he’s a talented artist and performer. However, he’s always been the industry’s Great White Hope. As for his dropping predictions, I think it’s because of a few factors: the confusing direction for his new album, the negative reception of said album, his uneventful SB performance and last but not least, plain ol’ poetic justice. I see a lot of his fans are saying the media and people in general are being too harsh. Well, 14 years ago, a then-37 year old Janet Jackson was in this very same position except the backlash against her was on a much larger scale. He’ll be fine in the long run. Every big pop star goes through that era where the music doesn’t connect and they’re bashed for it. Hell, Katy Perry went through it last year with Witness. Let this be a lesson to all, when you do clownery, the clown sure does come back to bite – even if it’s 14 years later.

    • Trose February 7, 2018

Yes for the Monique homage lmao!!!

  23. Jess February 7, 2018

    It’s called karma!

  24. Stephy February 7, 2018

I mean, that’s still good numbers but terribly underwhelming (like his Superbowl performance) after such a huge campaign roll out and exposure of the Bowl. The music is just not that good nor memorable. But whatever.

  25. Retribution February 7, 2018

The chickens have finally come home to roost. This is long overdue and what he has deserved for a very long time, so it’s good to finally see him get his. This is a major FLOP. For an artist of his caliber who did close to a million copies on his last album the fist week to do 200,000 AFTER just doing the Superbowl is a flop of epic proportions. Even Janet Jackson did close to 400,000 in 2004 after they blacklisted her. For him to be chosen to do the Superbowl again after they all but destroyed Janet by blackballing her on radio and MTV, shows how much white men can get away with in this country, yet the minorities and women get raked over the coals. TimesUP!!! The time is up for mediocre artists who steal from black culture and skate by on their whiteness although they aren’t really all that talented. This is the beginning of the end for Justin Timberlake and this poetic justice for what he did to Janet. Prince is probably somewhere in heaven laughing as well.

  26. Theman February 7, 2018

That cultural appropriation shyt is played out with JT. His sales should have increased. But something is off. ‘Filthy’ wasn’t the right lead off, also everyone was already negative outside of the music. See this website. They wanted to pan his performance/album before they even heard it.

  27. Theman February 7, 2018

    JT is also talented too.

    • tyana jones February 7, 2018

nah chris brown more talented then JT he overrated.

  28. JOHNVIDAL February 7, 2018

The Janet thing was so unfair, but some people are doing the most. You don´t even need to lie. These are bigger numbers than 98% of people. His previous album didn´t open with 900k, it was 400k or something like that (the second part of 20/20. This would eb a normal opening week for him in 2018 poor climate of the dying music industry. I mean, Eminem that huge big opener for so many years, just did these numbers a couple of months ago. However, what truly is more alarming for him if anything is that predictions get revised down AFTER the Superbowl performance. Taht really is off.
The music is not being good anyway. So it´s normal. All careers ends falling down, especially when tehre is no clear direction.

    • Retribution February 7, 2018

He did 970,000 of 20/20 Part 1 in March 2013 and then 350,000 of Part 2 in September 2013. That is only 6 months difference really and most people will just say 20/20 Part 1 as his last album because they were released so close together. Regardless, this is a flop. People are not doing too much and just telling it like it is. There is n way someone who just headlined the Superbowl should be doing these numbers the very next week.

      • JOHNVIDAL February 7, 2018

My point is that the “decline” could already be seen with that second part. It´s not a decline from 900k to 200k just like that. People didn´t already feel that much 20/20 part 1 and it showed already that very same year. Like I said the only off thing is the revision AFTER the Superbowl. That´s worrying for him. The numbers themselves are not that bad Superbowl or not. Do you believe the last headliners would have sold more first week if they had released a new album the week of Superbowl in 2018? Remember sales fall and fall EVERY year.

      • Retribution February 7, 2018

Pink did 380,000 4 months ago with no hit single so I’m not buying that 210,000 is good although you headline the Superbowl. It’s not. Yes album sales are dropping but not by that much. Also, being that he released two albums the same year back to back, he was never going to do 900,000 on the 2nd release and that wasn’t because people didn’t like it. 20/20 was actually really good. Doing 350,000 on Part 2 was very good and also pushing that 2nd part to over a million copies sold. That was not a decline at that time. No one ever release to albums within that time frame so h** could it be a decline if you are able to go platinum again with a new release 6 moths later? Anyways, Man Of The Woods is a FLOP and no these numbers are not good after all this marketing AND just headlining the Superbowl. If Pink had headlined the Superbowl, she would have done 500,000.

      • JOHNVIDAL February 7, 2018

        Retribution
I don´t know. You literally can only give one example (maybe 4 or 5) with people that could do better. Taht´s not bad then.
I agree it is kind of a flop for him at this time for him though. Just don´t find exaggerations necessary. Eminem had HIS flop (other wish to have that flop I suppose) for the first time last year FINALLY and now it is Justin´s turn too. There is almost no one left without an album that officially start their “flop years”.
Pink will be the headliner next year btw. That´s my bet. She´ll pull a Gaga. She came this year for the Anthem first.

      lol sorry for the typos.

U are such a hypocrite. U rag on Beyoncé for having so called average sales & then turn around and act as if opening up with 200k is so wonderful. Ur so bias & ready to kiss s******’s ass. How did u tout Adele around as the only big seller this generation has &not see the tragic downsize of JT? It’s so obvious u turn a blind eye to Beyoncé &Rihanna’s success, but drool over bland ass Mariah & everyone yo masta likes.

      • JOHNVIDAL February 8, 2018

        cora
I have said many times Beyonce is doing great in sales these last few years. Many times. Her last 2 or 3 albums have made her one of the top sellers. And I defend her from delusional Rihanna fans when I have to too for example. She clearly is doing better than alsmot everybody. So get your info right.
When I have described Beyonce´s sales as average is in different contest. Talking about her entire career, when she had albums out in years sales were still big and many artists sold more than her. And I especially say hers are average when her fans put her in a place she is not in. Hers are average compared to Adele, Mariah, Celine, Whitney´s and more.
Compared to Justin? she is doing so much better. She is doing GREAT actually.
Have a nice day and be accurate next time.

      • S****** Blonde February 8, 2018

JOHN You are free now my s****. You do not have to defend my favs any longer unless you want to my loyal servant.

    • Jasmine February 7, 2018

JOHNVIDAL You are always on here trying to defend these old white stars of yester-year and kissing your master’s asss S******. If you got with the times and stopped being so locked in the past your opinions would get better. I also notice that you continually / intentionally turn a blind eye to racist comments from that thing S****** but are overly eager to kiss that thing’s asss. Are you an Uncle Tom?

      • JOHNVIDAL February 7, 2018

What? LOL I couldn´t care less about Justin Timberlake my dear. And don´t even try try the racist stuff with me because NO.

      • JOHNVIDAL February 7, 2018

I´m here to defend talent btw. From yesteryear or from now. Black or White or Asian. You understand? I have Janelle Monae on my avi for . Young and black. Give it a rest with ignorance because you already made the foolest of yourself the other day. Grab a pfucking book!

      • Jasmine February 7, 2018

JOHNVIDAL Anyone that purposefully turns a blind eye to racism is guilty of being a racist themself or at the very least an Uncle Tom so my question if you are an Uncle Tom certainly has merit. Furtherore, I have never made a fool of myself. I state my opinions and stand behind everything I say.

      • JC February 12, 2018

And this is one of the reasons that nobody likes your stupid ass, Jasmine. You can dish it out but you can’t take it. Chile…Imma see you in the streets real soon.

That GIF has taken me out!!! ?????

  30. Petty Angel February 7, 2018

He has aged out of the game. He literally aged outside of the 18-35 market himself and the youth (who are actually streaming music) can’t relate to him and therefore aren’t streaming him.

Also, and I hate to profile him but: He’s old, rich, white, and male… the exact opposite of what kids are looking for in a pop star these days.

That being said, his album was pretty good and does appeal to a more mature audience, so he gets points for authenticity there. Unfortunately he’s lost the younger market. Sorry JT

    omg karma…

  32. Chrid February 7, 2018

    I love Janet Jackson ❤️

  33. Brian February 8, 2018

With all the backlash on Justin I had to check out the album and found it’s pretty good. I went out and brought it yesterday. Y’all are doing the most get over the whole Justin.

  34. FM Talks February 8, 2018

How about he’s smarmy and the karma from what he did to Janet Jackson ironically may have waited until his next Super Bowl to come back and bite him in the a**.

  35. Barry February 8, 2018

    Fans like Bruno Mar better!

    • JC February 12, 2018

Bruno Mars is a doing what he does best…ripping off older music. He constantly goes back to 70s Funk/80s Rock/90s Pop/R&B and does just enough ripping off and mashing up so that it can’t be called copyright infringement. Anyone who listens to a wide variety of music from various decades knows that Bruno lacks originality. Only thing he’s good at is knowing exactly how much he can steal without risking a lawsuit. I don’t care how many people like him, all I see and hear is a fraud.

  36. DanYiel Iman February 10, 2018

    ?WHO?!!

  37. Really Dones February 10, 2018

What goes ‘round, goes ‘round, goes ‘round. Comes all the way back around. JT reaps what he sows.

    • JC February 12, 2018

Yeah, he’ll rip no less than a few MILLION dollars off this album. Poor him. Then he’ll go on tour and sing from his whole catalog and reap MILLION$ more…poor, poor, pathetic rich man doing what he loves for a living.

  38. Justin February 13, 2018

He’s doing bad because first off the the whole theme of the new cd is just stupid. And I think the biggest reason is that we have Bruno Mars who brings upbeat, happy music and has stalled Timberlake, especially when he comes out with something like this last cd. My wife and I are fans who went to his last 3 concerts and paid for VIP tickets but we decided not to go because we don’t like his latest release. It’s pretty sad to say the least.

  39. this_is_qhm February 13, 2018

    The biggest problems here are:
    1) The music just isn’t good. But then even that would have been fine if it wasn’t actually mostly bad.
    2) The rollout of singles was just too hastily done.
    3) The recent negative press surrounding JT.
    4) The current musical landscape is just not welcoming of the sounds of this album.
    5) Ageism is real.

Because the #JanFam didn’t forget how he left the queen to take all the heat. Janet stole his thunder during the Superbowl with #JanetJacksonAppreciationDay which was trending all day and during his performanc3. That day was hers from the fans aka #JanFam
