Queen of Hip Hop Soul Mary J. Blige beamed in regal red aboard the cover of Ebony magazine’s ‘March/Spring 2018’ issue.
With famed photographer Dennis Leupold at the lens and the creative direction Courtney Walter at the helm, the R&B royal struck many-a-fierce pose for the feature which also sees her dish on her forthcoming Netflix project, ‘Umbrella Academy,’ other forthcoming ventures, and – of course – her history-making Academy Award ‘Best Supporting Actress’ nod for her work on the critically-acclaimed film, ‘Mudbound.’

I am so happy that Mary is seeing some positive and uplifting things happening in her life. I was worried about her for a minute because of that messy divorce with that trash a** bum she once called her husband. Keep your head up, Queen. I am loving the photos and this glow that seems to be surrounding you lately. Much Love and Success to her.
The photo of her in the yellow dress is my favorite. However, the photographer should have removed the european art in the background since these photos were taken for Ebony magazine. Since the photographer and creative director are white I can understand how they missed the importance having symmetry between the photos, the magazine itself, and the celebrity’s brand. Also, the photographer should have asked Mary to do some photos with her smiling to mix up the facial poses.
Seems like she wanted to look sultry, but she needed to smile. We need to see she is having fun again. Pictures were typical and too serious. The cover should’ve been more powerful, but as long as she is pleased, then that’s all that matters.
The American men in this Society pure trash .. she cannot find a husband Jay-Z should have married her .. he married Beyonce why didn’t he marry Mary J he knew her first.. I’ve always been curious about that

Her heart is broken.., Mary might be winning creatively but it would be insincere of her to paste on a big smile before she is ready. I think the spread really captures where she is at right now.., healing slowly but pushing forward with boss moves.
