Katy Perry has proven herself the one to watch on ABC’s reboot of reality singing competition, ‘American Idol.’
The series, barely four episodes in, has already seen the ‘Chained to the Rhythm’ songstress linked to multiple controversies aboard the show – most notably an instance where she uncomfortably kissed a contestant without his consent.
Now, months after fans of Perry and one time nemesis Taylor Swift thought the two had buried the hatchet, some believe the former is reigniting the heat surrounding their beef with some “subtle shade.”

The video above has certainly made its rounds across the net, earning thumbs down from Swift’s legions of fans who believe Perry intentionally avoided complimenting the ‘Bad Blood’ singer’s….umm…singing.
Was Katy being shady or are people overreacting?

I watched this last night and I immediately felt the shade but I get what she was saying. You like different artist for difference things. The same way you might like Beyonce as a singer but don’t like her as a songwriter or like Rihanna as a recording artist but not as a singer. Taylor strength is her song writing…so I get it.
Nop not only song writing, she just do everything far better than Katy and Katy just can’t hide her face for d moment cause it was becoming awkward for her.
People love to read meaning into nothing. I love her as a song writer. Isn’t that compliment enough? I personally feel Taylor isn’t a good vocalist.
For me of course it was shade… It was the same if Taylor said she loves Katy as a Comedian or for instance If Rihanna said she loves Beyoncé as a girlband member.
The problem is Katy always masks her true intentions behind a “funny” and “sweet” side she likes to pretend to have…
That pause def put the shade in it. And I love it

Let’s be Totally honest……..Katy/Taylor are NOT the best vocalist. Neither. Both have made it to where they are due to expensive videos, beauty and fashion. Nothing More. Taylor is a good songwriter. Katy has the great free-spirit Image. She is funny and shady on Idol which is the energy it needed.
