New Keri Hilson Music Previewed By Danja Who Calls Her “My Aaliyah”

Published: Wednesday 14th Mar 2018 by Sam

Keri Hilson‘s slow and steady return to the spotlight seems to be leading to the unleashing of new music – at long last.

The songbird hasn’t released an album since 2010’s ‘No Boys Allowed,’ but longtime collaborator Danja is strongly hinting that that’s all about to change.

Taking to social media, the hitmaker christened Keri “my Aaliyah” and shared snippets of a song of hers.

Check it out below…

That beat drop was immense.

Say what folk will about Keri, but her music is consistently consistent. Bring on the album already.

I don’t know about the “ my Aaliyah” comment, but I’m definitely ready for the new music.

People sleep on Keri Hilson. But pull up her resume. Her singles and songwriting credits prove she’s a sustainable artist. I just hope the roll out of the album has the promotion she’s going to need to push herself to where she used to be before she took her break.

The hive try to take credit for “ending” her yet she had platinum hit singles after taking shots at bey and really took a break on her own terms. Her first album is awesome and her sophomore album was pretty good too.

I just wish he didn’t say My Aaliyah I get that’s his personal feeling but that automatically made me give a side eye as a die hard Aaliyah fan. But glad she’s back, she has good music.

You need to put things in perspective . He clearly meant in the Aaliyah and Timberland sense of an artist and producer, your grown mind should’ve realised that first.

Lol you are to bothered did I offend I clearly said I get that’s his personal feeling and that I was a fan . Your grown mind should slow tf down and read things properly

Neither of them are in a “Timb/Aaliyah” universe so please don’t. I am not a Keri Hilson fan, sorry, she is not a trailblazer and has never changed the game, sonically or soundwise..

    Mmmmm… idk… I need to hear more.

If you’re a true music fan, you’d know, he means he found the perfect muse to give his sound to, when he says “his Aaliyah” not that they’re alike at all, come on. Don’t be silly.

When he say’s “My Aaliyah,” he means in terms of their chemistry, and Keri being his muse… like Timb/Aaliyah. Y’all are so slow.

How can her music be consistently consistent when it isn’t put out consistently?

    • Sandra March 15, 2018

Because when its put out it’s consistently… the same style, sound or consistently good.

The snippets I heard maybe last year or the year before where she was in the car were amazing. I didn’t like her last album but this stuff sounds incredible.

She’s been through the mill so hopefully she will shine this time as she seems so lovely and genuine!

Aaliyah? Marketing trick, it won’t work.

    • TaylorDuh March 16, 2018

Exactly, Keri is a dope artist. Is his sound distinctive enough to make a comment like this? Not being shady I honestly don’t know him.

      • TaylorDuh March 16, 2018

I retract my comment I am familiar with some of his work but his sound isn’t distinctive enough for a comment like My Aaliyah . You know a Timberland beat/prod when you hear it . But I’m still hear for Keri music been along time.
