Report: Normani Signs Solo Deal With With RCA / Album Due “Late 2018”

Published: Sunday 4th Mar 2018 by Sam

Normani is ready for her close-up!

The last few months have seen the fiery Fifth Harmony star make a number of master-stroke moves as she readies her solo charge.

Recapping, she signed with S10 (Roc Nation partner) for management and inked lucrative publishing and touring deals.

It left many wondering about the most important component – her label.

Well, it seems that mystery has been solved.

Full story below…

In a detailed preview feature, Hits Daily Double revealed that the 21-year-old is signed to RCA Records – home of Justin Timberlake, SZA, Pink, Britney Spears, and Khalid – the latter of whom she has a hit single with (‘Love Lies’).

Her as yet untitled LP, which she confirmed is in the works, is due “late 2018” (per the report).

*************

First thing’s first. We’re elated for Normani! She’s in great company at a great company.

The development does make us wonder the more about the backend of the Fifth Harmony show.

For, with the group still being signed to Epic Records, it seems like its members are staying within the Sony fold but veering out to other labels in the family. Indeed, it looks like 5H’s Lauren Jauregui is with Columbia Records and now Normani with RCA.

It all makes ample sense as launching any of the ladies on Epic doesn’t feel like a good look at present (for several reasons).

Their next phase looks to be about growth and independence and signing to different labels is a smart means of achieving that.

I’m not sure she can sell an album. But good luck. I think she will need some great features and to keep up her dancing skill, because yeah…

Lord. Wouldn’t it be ironic if after everyone dragged Camilla she ended up being the most talented out of all the ones who went solo…… Good luck to Normandi but those vocals chile…. ???

    • The Truth Hurts March 4, 2018

Camila will be the most successful because she appeals to the GP’s basic b**** era (Taylor Swift, Selena Gomez). Normani is however more talented than her though. It’s like comparing Taylor Swift to Beyonce. No one with true taste and artistry will believe that Taylor Swift is better than Beyonce in terms of the whole package… Let’s keep it real

No either are on Taylor or Beyonce level. It’s like comparing Selena Gomez to Sevyn Streeter. Literally.

I’m here for her!! I love her vocals!!?

I think she needs to do some acting and modeling and maybe an endorsement with a big makeup or fashion company before releasing her album. Camila had a front loaded era but she did have a #1 album and single for a LITTLE while and Lauren is signed to a MEGA machine label and ha huge LGBT support since she openly Bi-sexual. Normani could pull a Rihanna and get by with looks and personality for years but her showmanship is developing more than any of the other girls and could be a touring act. She needs work but as far longevity goes, she’s the most promising. But if she doesn’t go about this the right way, she will end up like Kelly or Ciara. I hope she has a good team behind because RCA aren’t about anything besides have a roster full of names.

She looks like one of those masculine black women I hate but wish I were one too. I would let her fist me…yeah for sure.

I just don’t see it for her but I’m more than ready for new black female talent as I am sick of see the same ole tired females.
