Rihanna Slams Snapchat Over Shocking Abuse Ad

Published: Thursday 15th Mar 2018 by Sam

Rihanna is not happy with Snapchat.

The social media platform made headlines for all the wrong reasons this week when they approved an advertisement that made light of the star’s 2009 abuse at the hands of Chris Brown.

And now RiRi is clapping back.

Details below…

The shocking ad was named “Impossible Choices” and touted a “Would You Rather” question, asking users if they’d prefer to “Slap Rihanna” or “Punch Chris Brown”…

Like many, Ms. Fenty did not see the humor and wondered how such an ad could have been green-lit. She laid into the platform saying…

Snapchat had earlier issued a statement apologizing. They wrote:

“The advert was reviewed and approved in error, as it violates our advertising guidelines We immediately removed the ad last weekend, once we became aware. We are sorry that this happened.”

Sigh.

She has every right to be upset with the creators of Snapchat because abuse is hurtful and nothing to joke about.
