Concern for the well-being of Azealia Banks is high tonight after the rapper took to social media to claim that she had been sexually assaulted.
Via Instagram stories, the rapper left a number of alarming voice messages that begun with the chilling statement:
“lowkey just got raped. I feel like dirt.”
She went to explain that she was casually chilling with a man and ultimately found herself in a predicament she did not want.
Listen to her words below….
“One thing led to another. I just feel really dumb because it was partially my fault, you know? I just feel like a dumbass, such a dummy. I just want to f*ckin’ disappear right now. I feel really bad.
I can’t even look at music right now. I don’t want to let anyone down. I’m gonna delete all my accounts, because I’m embarrassed. I’m gonna delete everything, and I guess I’ll just come back when I get it together. I just feel really broken down—just when I’m rebuilding myself as an artist. I don’t know how to face y’all.”
She went on to add:
“This rape sh*t, you know. Men can just prey on you and just f*cking badger you and force you to say ‘yes.’ You feel like you gave consent, but you didn’t give sh*t. You never wanted to do shit, but there you are, feeling f*cking powerless. Somebody really got the f*cking best of me, and I’m just so unsure how they got it.”
The messages, including pleas for any of her close friends listening to “pick me up,” have since been deleted.
But wait, I hope a 911 call was the first thing she did before these posts to a bunch of people she doesn’t know including some that will troll her.
