Cardi B Album Predictions Revised Up / Set To Double Sales

Published: Tuesday 10th Apr 2018 by Sam

Cardi B‘s entire narrative has been about defying the odds and she’s set to add a major new chapter.

Because the sales estimates for her debut album ‘Invasion Of Privacy’ have been revised up – so much so that she’s on course to double a key metric.

Details below…

Per Hits Daily Double, Cardi’s predictions have been increased to:

215,000-225,000
[Sales Plus Streaming]

************
90,000-100,000
[Pure Sales]

***********

The pure sales numbers represent a double increase on the initial estimations. A point noteworthy because physical copies of the ‘Privacy’ have yet to hit retail (until April 27th). Hence, sustained sales in the weeks to come seem a cert.

In the immediate though, Cardi is poised to deliver the second highest first week sales of 2018 (behind Justin Timberlake) and the best from a female artist.

      • XYZ April 11, 2018

        That’s a decade ago.

Like all the people here comparing Madonna‘s numbers in the 80ies to current artists. Times have changed

    • Gurlwepa89 April 11, 2018

Taylor still sell, so does Kendrick, Drake and many other major artists in today’s market. You make excuses for your favorite, I get it. So how about we stick to fact.

  2. Caleb April 10, 2018

Wow. HDD was way off on their first predictions!

  5. Damani April 10, 2018

But i thought it went Gold?!

    • Jay Rich April 10, 2018

The album is already certified gold but those numbers don’t count towards first week sales because they are from units of the digital single.

    • Caleb April 10, 2018

The RIAA is has its own rules and does a lot of dumb s*** nowadays.

  6. B2B April 10, 2018

      • Paulo April 10, 2018

Hey Paulo I have nothing but love for you babe. Please don’t take my comments personal. I would never want to offend you dear. Like I said last time if you ever want me to change my verbiage just give me some words to use as a replacement.

      • JOHNVIDAL April 11, 2018

  9. Faf April 10, 2018

So basically Atlantic saw her underperforming and bought the necessary amount to “prove the haters wrong”

    • Erica April 10, 2018

No her Snl performance & Jimmy Fallon happen hater

      • Coupe April 10, 2018

Smart announcing her pregnancy and doing all that promo after the album is out. I dunno when the physical comes out but if you thought her 15 mins was long it’s about to be extremely longer. I can tell she is going the Rihanna longevity route which why it didn’t really matter when she decided to drop her album…she didn’t care about steam from Bodak Yellow when she low key knew she had another 12 bops in her hands.

    • Lanafan1 April 10, 2018

What would be the point of that? LMFAO! Take a business class!

      • Faf April 10, 2018

What would be the point of that? Sales are 99% propaganda

Ask why Samsung needed to buy a million copies of anti? Why not 25k? Why a million ?

Because she knew she wouldn’t sell a million albums so to get interest in the album UP

They convinced the public thisnis a New Hotly selling release

I mean everyone wants what’s doing well, right ?

Either way the label gonna get theirs in the end they don’t care if she ends up bankrupt personally

  10. Boytoy1814 April 10, 2018

    Congrats Cardi!!!!!

  11. Paulo April 10, 2018

Well duh. She put all the songs from the album on the iTunes top 100, the original 40k predictions were just stupid

  12. Jasmine April 10, 2018

I’m so happy for Cardi. I have listened to her album 3 times now and I love. Best female album of 2018 so far.

  13. Bam April 10, 2018

Honestly I think artist who’s names have weight behind them could sell a lot more physical copies if they only released physical for the first three weeks or so and encouraged sales by traveling to stores to sign copies bought (no signing posters, boobs, or hands) only copies. People will go to the store to buy event albums if that’s the only way they can get em. Then you can add digital purchases and streaming later.
Only real issue is getting an established artist nowadays to want to put in that work like the artist of the past used to do.

    • MUSICHEAD April 10, 2018

That wouldn’t work at all because people would just upload the album online anyway. That’s the whole reason physical album sales decreased in the first place.

      • Bam April 11, 2018

I don’t think it would for newer artist but for your Beyoncé’s and Adele’s it’s already worked in a way. If Adele or Beyoncé released their next album physically first I guarantee she’d see the most physical copies sold in a day/week in a long time. Hell they both didn’t allow their newest albums to be streamed just sold and people bought them even when they could’ve just stolen them.

  14. justafan April 10, 2018

    Nicki is shook

  15. Olusheyi April 10, 2018

Card I is hot right now. I wanted too hate on the album but I can’t because it is good

    • Yeah I said it… April 10, 2018

That’s sad you wanting to hate on something without giving it a chance. What a sad soul, but looking at you in your avatar, I get it….

      • Caleb April 11, 2018

That’s a very ugly thing to say. Seriously why tf would you say that to him? He didn’t attack you personally or anything.

  16. Jasmine April 10, 2018

The album is still trash…. Cardi B’s nursery rhymes… and you idiots are raving over these simple ass barz…lol

    • Jasmine April 10, 2018

      Troll Alert!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The above user is a racist transexxual white male who goes by the user name S****** Trash Blonde. He has multiple accounts and this is one of them.

      Alert Do not engage!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  17. Theman April 11, 2018

Actually that could work. She is selling this without the physical sales. Physical sales are higher than digital sales. She could have easily sold around 150-180k if she had pure sales. Physical sales will really help with her overall album sales. She has so many hit singles on this album. Event albums can do great things with the proper set up. Artists should just release their singles to streaming services, that way you can probably muster more sales out of the album. Just release it to streaming services when it’s convenient too. It’s a lot of strategic ways to release an album now. But physical albums still carry a lot of weight when it comes to actual albums. These numbers are very good for her…

  18. DanYiel Iman April 11, 2018

She’s making her journey count, I’ll buy a few singles…?

  19. Sleazy April 11, 2018

Cardi only wins with streams………….. if you look at her sales it comes from streams (i know many other artist to) but hers like 80 percent are from streams

    • Meme April 11, 2018

You must have failed basic maths. How is 100k of 225k 80% sis? Lol

  20. BigRalph April 11, 2018

    GOOD JOB.
Hip/Hop has returned. Now we need real R/B and do away with the same old b*******….
