For, the superstar songbird has just announced ‘The Butterfly Returns’ – her newest Sin City residency.

In a statement to fans, Mimi gushed:
I’m thrilled to be returning to The Colosseum at Caesars Palace with a BRAND NEW residency, THE BUTTERFLY RETURNS, beginning July 5th!
Current dates for the shows are:
July – 5, 7, 8, 10, 14, 15
August – 31
September – 1, 2, 5, 9, 10

The residency follows Mimi’s successful first stint on the famous strip with ‘#1’s To Infinity.’ Said series also played at The Colosseum, ran from 2015-2017, and amassed a whopping $24 million in the process.

Mariah Carey is a tired, overrated legend. There is nothing magical about her present voice, stage show or likeness. No one outside of her immediate fan base are anticipating new music. Maybe this residency tho is a good idea. I’d rather see her doing THIS than trying to release trendy bops with rap star features for contemporary radio.

Funny thing is Rihanna herself gave praise about this from her Instagram account. So there goes that. Mariah has one of the most versatile catalogs of her peers. I think this show in particular will focus on hits/ fan favorites and maybe a peak into where she is currently musically. I think this particular residency will be more of MC’s personality and style opposed to the previous residency.
