As streaming data was only factored into chart positions in 2014, the bulk of Minaj’s hit are carried by pure sales generated by the fan base she undoubtedly hopes will push her next studio album to the top of the Billboard 200 following its release.
The rapper’s latest win makes her the first lady lyricist in chart history to score eight top ten hits in eight consecutive years.
