Kanye West recently cut ties with longtime manager Izvor “Izzy” Zivkovic and now word is that the rapper’s career is being shepherded by Kris Jenner – mother of his wife Kim Kardashian.

Per Page Six, the Kardashian matriarch isn’t managing West (yet), but is providing career advice that he’s taking heed to:
“They’ve been off and on for years,” said a source of West and Zivkovic. “But Kris is in [West’s] ears. Kanye’s been making changes and [he and Zivkovic] have grown apart — but Kris definitely gives her opinion and Kanye’s all ears. She’s about brand building and is gangster at it,” the insider said.
Keeping it in the family, Jenner is also said to be guiding rapper Travis $cott, who recently welcomed a baby girl with her daughter Kylie. He too left his management and is believed to be benefitting from Jenner’s know-how.

Hmm.
On the one hand, Kris has engineered quite the machine with her clan. And it’s arguable that it’s even more impressive when considering the “talents” her girls are working with. Hence, she’s no doubt is a compelling figure managerially.
That said, her areas of operation are so vastly different from Kanye’s Hip-Hop rooting that it doesn’t read like the smartest fit.
Especially given his present predicament.
Put simply, after the multiple meltdowns, appalling album sales of late, and general consensus that he’s in the “sunken place,” him working with Kris in any capacity doesn’t fill us with the most amount of hope.

His music good, not what it used to be but good enough to market but the marketing isn’t there either. I think now that he’s in a happy place the music will go back to being f****** legendary. She can definitely give him the marketing boost.
