Childish Gambino’s latest, ’This is America,’ may have lost its grip atop the Hot 100 this week after leading the tally for two consecutive weeks (click here to read more on that), but the politically charged cut still has much to celebrate.

Beyond an ongoing domination of streaming charts (including Youtube, Spotify, and more) thanks to its Hiro Murai-directed music video, the tune’s similarly handsome faring on digital tallies has helped it become his latest platinum single…less than a month after its debut.

Well on its way to reaching the 4x platinum status of Gambino’s most popular single to date, ‘Redbone,’ tuck inside for more details surrounding the awesome feat:
