The hard-hitting jam sees Xtina team with Ty Dolla $ign and 2 Chainz; it’s being issued as the first taste of the diva’s eighth studio album ‘Liberation.’
Word is that the cut is receiving the instant-grat treatment for anyone who pre-orders its parent LP (due June 15th). Hence, jury’s out on whether it’s Aguilera’s “lead single.”

It’s definitely…different.
Indeed, while the track packs on familiar Xtina-isms vocally, sonically it’s a refreshing change of pace that quite literally changes pace at various points throughout.
Sprinkled within are elements of R&B, trap, and Pop.
It’s a risk and we envisiage the material on the way will skew more mainstream.
But in the here and now, we’re feeling this on the merit of her sounding great, the unique production, and inspired lyrics.
If we had any gripe, it’s that Ty Dolla $ign sounded like he needed a throat lozenge, however after a few spins his contribution is less grating and dare we say…works.

She sounds like she trying to fit in with the SZA’s, H.E.R’s and Kehlanis of today. This song is so basic and generic, it’s been done before. She failed with this one, this is worse than your body and on top of that she’s not singing, she’s talking. Bad first single choice especially for a “comeback”

Giving me Justin Timberlake Filthy teas…these ‘established’ acts need to stick to good melodies and nice build up pop anthems. This rnb trap business is better left for the newbies coz they just do it better and its more believable. A good example is P!nk. Shes consistent musically and stays relavant coz she delivers to her core fanbase
I’m surprised to find myself liking this, but it’s kind of wrong for her fan base. Her standing at radio is shaky as it is. I am trying to imagine where she will be able to get this played on radio, and I do not see a groundswell of streaming support to gain momentum. Overall not bad, but it’s going to take more to get this album off right.
I don’t like this song at all. I remember feeling the exact same way when Beyonce released Run The Word (Girls). I’m really hoping a heart wrenching ballad, or a kick ass rock-ish anthem similar to Fighter are next on the line-up, this is just noise.

OMG!.. VERY RISKY first single. It’s a grower but not much a radio friendly song. And the video has no salvation… Miley did it first with “Dooo It!” and without the need of lip injections taking the 80% of visual prominence. This is everything but “Stripped” alike. I deeply miss the Stripped/Back to Basics/Bionic sounds, her best to date.
