Drake Pushes Universal Music Group Profits To $460 Million Mark

Drake‘s infallible winning streak has seen him extend his reach and reign over at Universal Music.

News that’ll make him the envy of many a Pop prince and Hip-Hop royal below…

Sales generated by the multi-hyphenate superstar pushed UMG’s up by 8.8% and, with help from his peers at the label, played a major part in placing $460 million in the the pockets of the label’s British arm last year.

Leading the wave?

The smash hits ‘Hotline Bling’, ‘Find Your Love’, ‘HYFR’ and the chart-topping bodies of work they appear on. Bodies of work, that have seen the performer 102 weeks in the U.K’s singles chart and 40 weeks on its albums tally.

The gross profit margin increased slightly to 31%. Artist advances of £34.86m were paid out in 2017.
