Kanye West’s ‘Ye’ First Week Sales Revised Upward

Published: Tuesday 5th Jun 2018 by Rashad

Detractors who thought a little controversy would stand in the way of Kanye West and the top of the Billboard 200 were sadly mistaken.

In fact, West’s latest opus – ‘Ye’ (in stores now) – was already on track to best the competition and land the Grammy-winner his 8th consecutive chart-topper overall (7th as a solo artist) as industry analysts suggested the set would shift nearly 190k SPS by the end of its first full tracking week (click here to read more about that).

Now, thanks to an impressive streaming surge, the album is on track to cross the 200k threshold by the week’s end.  Curious to see just how high ‘Ye’ is set to soar?  Look inside:

205,000-225,000

75,000-85,000

You are forgetting many of his white fans will support.

      • Sweetnothings78 June 6, 2018

I’m white and after the s**** comments I will not ever listen endorse or support. Actually horrified and disgusted by anyone that would support him now after that comment.

I could cope with his stupidity but his lack of knowledge of history actually scares me beyond belief!

Spin this however y’all want… the fact of the matter is these numbers are not good as far as pure sales… Jay Z, Drake, Kendrick even JCole album sales would never be this low! For Kanye this ain’t good!?‍♀️

    • Jasmine (The Real Jasmine) June 5, 2018

I agree but I would add that Kanye is now considered an older artist too. His time is up. Drake and Kendrick got his spot on lock. I’m looking forward to Nas’s album later this year. I refuse to listen to Kanye’s little album.

      • Theman June 6, 2018

But Jayz sold more in terms of pure sales. That’s apples & oranges..

  5. The Wig Snatcher June 5, 2018

Hahahaha!!! Those pfags and queeers on Black Twitter Can’t stop Ye!!! The power of Black twitter was ALWAYS smoke and mirrors.

    • Naughty One June 6, 2018

Girl stfu! His streams went up, but not his sales. Anyway you slice and dice it, issa flop for someone of his caliber.

      • Casual June 6, 2018

The increase streams signals success, b/c it means people like the songs enough to listen to them more than once. Streaming success equals chart legs. Sales are becoming less important as time passes.

      • Theman June 6, 2018

Streaming is fake sales anyway. Plus a lot of people are just listening to hear the crazy stuff that he’s going to say.

  6. Caleb June 5, 2018

Donald Trump has been streaming the f*** out of this album.

    • Jasmine (The Real Jasmine) June 5, 2018

  7. SNF June 5, 2018

    Its just not good.

  8. Lana Del fan June 6, 2018

Who cares? I gave him the “remove artist from the controversy” doubt, but the half of song I heard didn’t even justify breaking my promise to not listen to his music again.

  9. XYZ June 6, 2018

I wonder if there are some selfbought records in that number ? cause actually I can’t believe that anybody, or at least that many people, still support him.

  10. gina June 6, 2018

lmao chile please 75-85k are still CANCELLED SALES. any trump supporter can stream his album on repeat, its still a FLOP lmfaoooo

  11. ??? June 6, 2018
