New Video: YG – ‘Big Bank (ft. Nicki Minaj, Big Sean, & 2 Chainz)’

Published: Sunday 24th Jun 2018 by Nehemiah
Amidst the excitement of the BET Experience in LA, YG pops the lid off his summer hit ‘Big Bank’ featuring Nicki Minaj, 2 Chainz, and Big Sean.
Lensed in Los Angeles, the video revisits well treated Hip-Hop visual staples – flaunting luxurious cars, flashy jewelry, all while wallowing over video models.
Give the “throwback” feeling video a look see below…

As stated earlier, the video offers nothing distinctly different than its predecessors nor its contemporaries. But, it is indeed a summer visual that is cohesive with the song. Put simply, the clip looked like a good time if one has the bank account to reinforce the braggadocious. Nothing more, nothing less.

Nicki looks very youthful here , I liked the video.

    • Yolanda June 24, 2018

Nicki only looks youthful to you because she’s surrounded by people her own age or older. Of course she’s gonna look old around Ariana and The Migos.

Nice video and song Nicki looks nice.

  3. Meme June 24, 2018

Ok I’m conflicted. I didn’t like this at first but Nicki did her damn thing with both her verse and video. She makes everything sounds great! I wish she would stop posting her looks before the video drops. It’s like she be so excited and it kills the anticipation.

How is Nicki Minthot still relevant? Its been like half a decade since she dropped an album?

    • Caleb June 24, 2018

3 years and 7 months to be exact lol

      • KillMonger Was Right (Tyler) June 24, 2018

        ??

    • June 24, 2018

What makes her a thot? and Nicki Minaj is a superstar, she is up there with other greats. she doesn’t have to drop an album to be relevant, reliances come naturally to her at this point.

  5. Thatflopjuice June 24, 2018

Nicki looks the same in every video. Everything’s safe and mediocre never daring and profound. And I hate her rappin’ granny hand gestures she makes. It’s clear she don’t know how to evolve.

    • KillMonger Was Right (Tyler) June 24, 2018

Nicki has always been mediocre. Her fake ass, fake titties, and acting ability is what catapulted her to superstardom. Idk why everyone tip-toes around that fact.

  6. Blaaah June 24, 2018

I got a question, out of Nikki’s 8253728272 features what would you say is her most stand out/iconic? I find nothing special bout this right here although her verse is okay.

    • Caleb June 24, 2018

Monster is her most iconic to me.

      • love_wins89 June 24, 2018

And that was years ago. Case in point why many of her collabs are mediocre.

  7. love_wins89 June 24, 2018

i think Despite being so successful nicki hasn’t done enough to be a blueprint for female rappers. That’s why she stays pushing out so much music – to prove a point. It’s good for fans but it sad for her love life. It’s like she’s insatiable and doesn’t know when enough’s enough. Just a thought.

  8. Hoodrat June 24, 2018

I think you’re wrong by saying Nicki Minaj has not been a blueprint for upcoming female rappers. Record companies for years did not know what to do with a female rapper, then Nicki Minaj crossed over into pop and now they know how to market female rappers, and thus why Cardi B is successful. You will notice similarities and styling and genre of music. Why no one calls Cardi B out for creating pop songs? The fact of the matter is that Nicki Minaj’s most successful songs have never been completely rap/hip-hop.

You need to show Nic respect Just like jayz

    • Thatflopjuice June 24, 2018

Ummm no. Cardi made it being her own authentic ratchet self. No leopard beehives, no over-the-top costumes, no swaggerjacking or female rap beef controversy and HUMILITY unlike Molestaj. Plus she never had to swindle white middle America pop fans like Nicki did for clout. We’re not going to sit here and pretend like Pink Friday and Roman Reloaded are classic hip hop albums because they’re far from it. Therefore she isn the blueprint. Bodak Yellow is a whole raw trap song that hit #1 and broke records. Even I Like It is a radio friendly Latin trap record, hardly “pop.” Nicki is “Super Bass, Stars Ships” EDM type pop compared to Cardi who keeps it 100. Most of the songs she puts out are not pop tart singles. Therefore she’s not the blueprint. Nicki only opened doors for chicks like Iggy.

      • Hoodrat June 24, 2018

How can anyone take your comment seriously when you’re insinuating that she had anything to do with her brother molesting a girl? Also, Cardi B did not create Bodak Yellow nor did she come up with the verses for it. You have to be deaf if you think they are not marketing her as this generations Nicki Minaj.

Y’all bitchezz not sucking on a rich dic

  10. Hoodrat June 24, 2018

And why is it that all you have are criticisms for Ms. Minaj? Why not say something about the guys, like how YG is looking old and tired? Or how about how men in rap in general look mediocre and tired siting in cards with bling on and women shaking their asses around them?

    • Bravo!! June 24, 2018

Remember hater will hate on people at the top. If it wasn’t for Nicki there will be no Cardi B this generation. If it wasn’t for Nicki there will be no talk of female rapper past or present. She push through and change the game. Nicki made her own lane.

      • Thatflopjuice June 24, 2018

If it wasn’t for Kim there’d be no Nicki. I love how you purposely left that out. ? That’s the problem. You want Nicki to get all the clout and glory but fail to pay respect those that’s paved the way. That’s why Cardi is respected because she praises Kim and all the vets and guess what? Her doing that doesn’t take away anything from her artistry!

      • Bravo!! June 25, 2018

Lil Kim changes the game completely for her generation. After foxy & Lil Kim era there were no female rappers making moves. Female rappers weren’t even being discussed or charting. Nicki came along and reignited female MC. So this is the reason dues should be paid to Nicki.

      • Bravo!! June 25, 2018

        I said this generation!

    • Hoodrat June 24, 2018

As if Kim was not influenced by anyone. Go take several seats.

      • Thatflopjuice June 25, 2018

B**** eat a d*** and choke. Female rap has a lineage and I’ll be damned if we let Taylor shift built part-time hip hop fans from Idaho like yourself destroy OUR artform for your own entertainment.
