Published: Thursday 14th Jun 2018 by Rashad

After a nearly 6 year wait, the genie is finally out of the bottle!

Christina Aguilera‘s long-awaited new album, ‘Liberation’ (the successor to 2012’s ill-fated ‘Lotus’) has been uncaged and is available inside for your listening pleasure.  Kicked off by tasty Ty Dolla $ign-assisted teaser ‘Accelerate,’ that buzz track was followed by the equally delicious, stripped down ‘Twice’ before fans were introduced to the LP’s official lead single ‘Fall In Line’ (featuring Demi Lovato).

Beyond the aforementioned features, ‘Liberation’ boasts a bevy of guests including the likes of GoldLink, Anderson.Paak, Kanye West, 2 Chainz, and many more. What are you waiting for?  Get your stream on:

I waited 6yrs for an album… and get 15 tracks and 4 of those tracks are interludes and only 3 of the 11 tracks are what I really wanted from her and they just so happen to be the last 3 tracks ?

    • Whoops ???‍♀️?? June 14, 2018

      ^^^Accurate ?

    • No Bull June 15, 2018

agreed but I would rather have the 11 tracks and 4 interludes for Christina as opposed to Kanye’s 7 wack album tracks any day…

Totally agree. The back end of the album vocally, melodically and production wise is much more what I wanted from Christina. Right Moves, Pipe, Like I Do and Unless It’s With You are the standout tracks.

This album was not worth a 6 year wait.

*plays Janelle Monae ‘Dirty Computer’ album start to finish ??

I think it’s her most experimental (vocal) album
she showed new and different elements of her voice in this album
which in her age is the best choice.. as the elements are low key
As a die-hard xtina fan I didn’t LOVE the album
It is kinda “lemonade-ish” << and I hate that album
But I still think its going to be one of her most praised albums
the theme, production, sound and delivery is very Grammy material
I hope it is going to grow more on me
Maria, Masochist and Pipe are my fav

Die-Hard Xtina fan too, but this album is a no for me. I mean, it’s still loads better than Lotus and I still bought it, but it won’t be on heavy rotation.
It definitely sounds like it’s trying to be Lemonade on certain tracks but I thought Pipe was going to be more of what the album was going to sound like.
Idk maybe it’ll grow on me after few more run throughs, but I can definitely say that she needs to go back to the themed albums and or call Jordan because I am overall disappointed after waiting 6yrs for 11 songs.

    It’s jammin’! I like it.

Listen to it for the second time now. It‘s actually an OK album after the first listen, maybe it‘ll grow. Actually I have expected a bit more from a couple songs. Some I can’t even remember anymore. What I really don’t like are those interludes, they are annoying, always have been. I would have loved to have a bit more of an experiment like accelerate (which grew on me a lot)

Pipe is the only song I have on repeat … the rest of the album isn’t bad, Just not extraordinary. 2.5/5

Pipe, accelerate, deserve, unless its with you, masochist, right moves, those are BOP, overall its good album very grammy materials. She really experimented a lot some are the vocals i could recognize her even im a fan of her. #Xtinaslay

I like the album…so refreshing to hear real singing and instrumentation.

Fire ??? Love it. Meaningful music.

This album is good, not her best, but better than Lotus for sure!

‘Liberation’ it’s a very experimental album, X-Tina could do better, but this is miles better than anything a younger poptart released this year (or the last). She won’t do Pink or JT’s numbers, but her album is way better than ‘Beautiful Trauma’ or ‘Man of the Wood’. Those 2 really disappointed me.

well so far the album actually seems to be doing very good commercially it has debuted number one in almost 65 countries today. I agree with the rules for singles I fell that there are much more stronger songs that they could have used but overall amazing fantastic album.

Let’s just say this album is great! But the single selection rollout was totally OFF!!! The track “Deserve” is amazing with Drake’s assistantace on that track she had a hit. It’s unfortunate this album will be overlooked, also we needed a s*** slimmed down Christina, not a stripped makeup free Aguilera with no s** appeal. Sorry this is the industry it’s just about the total package

    • @KurtisLeeSinger June 16, 2018

I disagree I like their version and her fashion this era
Not everything is about being skinny
She is more relatable to real women this size and stripped down.

  12. Richard 86 June 15, 2018

very strong body of work this album is definitely going to be a huge hit commercially. Every song is just so perfectly done from the lyrical content to the vocals to the production. Job well done Christina!
