Beyonce made history this month when she covered the September issue of Vogue magazine.
Handed unprecedented control over the edition (including the selection of the 23-year-old Black photographer Tyler Mitchell), Queen Bey’s feature spread was showered with praise for its striking aesthetic and equally resonating words.
Now, the fashion bible is taking folk behind the scenes of the feature, which was lensed in the UK.

i think beys entire approach to this vougue cover is Super Corney and Since having them Twins Bey is starting to Look like a cross between Evelyn Rozada and Halle Berry whos in their 40s. bey needs some sleep, been aging prematurely since 09 IMO… Ashanti doesn’t work tho ? if you know what I mean.

Damn man! I love this girl but her branding and promotion has been boring as s*** and pretentious since 2013 and ITS BEYOND TIME FOR A CHANGE! And shes doing the “I’m black and I’m proud” concept all wrong. She makes it look like a happy, high, earthy white woman trying to be black. Shes been stuck on it for since 2016 and still hasn’t got it right. She needs new management, I know she doesn’t care but its painful to watch her this damn boring. She has changed her branding and themes in 6 years, she got back into promo for “Lemonade” but it got old and weird and obvious she trying to get the AOTY grammy and it wasn’t working. I just wish she was fun again and not so serious and try hard hard.
It’s called growing up. She’s finally doing age appreciate and legendary ish instead of trying to keep up. I applaud her for that. Just need to take this same approach with her music.
It’s called being pretentious and try hard, something she master during her “I Am…Sasha Fierce” era but now it’s old and paired with laziness and lackluster appeal. Aretha Franklin “grew up”, had a child and still had good music, along with her more grown cuts, during the 80’s. Beyonce just try to hard to be different and legendary with the most boring approach.

Tyler Mitchell became the first black photographer to get a vogue cover. bey just happened to be the person being photographed…she herself was not the historic part. do bey did not make history Tyler did
She was the first celebrity to have full control of the cover, shoot and interview. I think that’s pretty historic considering how much everyone made it a big deal. Tyler only made history because Beyonce called him, she didnt just happened to be anything because no o e else was calling him or any other black photographer to do any Vogue shots. He only made history because Beyonce called him.
@Tori check your facts… beyonce didnt have full control of s***. Anna Wintour herself debunk that lie. also if you knew anything about anything you would know that celeb cover stars are usually given some sort of veto power, as in they and their team are allowed to weigh in on the choice of photographer and shoot theme. Anna and the photographer have both confirmed that it was anna and her team that choose and hired him, then simply ran the it by bey who agreed with their choice. the theme idea was from the vogue team and anna even hired 2 writers to help bey craft her essay.
so again, all bey did was seat or stand there and let tyler photograph her… if thats making history… then good for her.

Ok, the Carters have had a long run. It is now time to go away, they’ve been repetitive for awhile but their fans seem to love it…Seriously, though, this is all a little boring. Does Beyonce, particularly, know how valuable it would be for her to take 5 years away from the spotlight? This would give her time to refresh creatively. She could suck all their money for sure then and give even more to HBCU scholarships (a GREAT thing, btw). PLEASE…After OTR II and voicing the Lion King – sail off to Sardinia again or move to New Orleans with Solange (with tutors for the kids) and live life out of the spotlight.
Nah, I need 3 more non trap solo albums, atleast 1 Destiny’s Child album, atleast 2 movie roles/soundtracks and most unlikely a TV interview all that after Lion King and next decade/ just in time for retirement @50 years old
