Katy Perry has asked a judge not to share the testimony she is to give in the Dr. Luke vs Kesha sexual assault case as she fears what she is to reveal in court may harm her career.

Perry, a good friend of Kesha’s, received a message from Dr. Luke’s lawyers telling her that her 46-page deposition transcript was at risk of being made public this week. Concerned, she asked the court to seal the documents because of her “high-profile status as an artist, advocate and role model.”
She says she is vulnerable to “gossip column” frenzy aimed at “exaggerating salacious matters having little to nothing to do with the merits – whatever they may be – of the substantive, material issues in this case.”
Perry says the testimony obviously could unfairly affect and even cause “significant harm” to her “career and reputation” and is pleading for the judge to keep it sealed from the public.
The judge is yet to make their decision.
