Cardi B has learned that a video of her using racist language as part of a comedy skit has surfaced.
Camp Cardi offered the following explanation to TMZ.
Sources close to Cardi tell TMZ the video was shot 3 years ago, when Cardi was an Instagram comedian and not a rapper. The sources say what she said is no different than material delivered by other Hispanic comedians, like George Lopez.
Fans of the rapper will know that she found fame on Instagram where she scored many a laugh with skits and her unique point of view. She then launched a bid to become a rapper and was catapulted to household name status by Mona Scott-Young‘s ‘Love & Hip Hop’ and Atlantic Records.
