Kanye West and Jay Z dropped one of the most critically acclaimed LPs of the decade with their collaborative chart-topping effort, ‘Watch the Throne’ (2011).
Featuring the hits ‘No Church in the Wild’ and ‘N*ggas in Paris,’ the platinum-selling set garnered Grammy nods galore and remains a fan favorite among the duo’s prized discographies.
A tough act to follow, ‘Watch’ – given its success and the reported friction between West and Jay over recent years – was expected to be a one-time deal. But, if a recent statement from the controversial emcee is anything to go by, fans may be granted a follow-up to the project sooner than expected…
Taking to Twitter, the ‘Gold Digger’ star simply stated:
The short, but sweet tweet was enough to get fans riled up. Quickly earning over 100k retweets, the announcement could act as proof that Jay and West have made amends and are readying another classic. Or, Ye could very well be replacing Jigga and making the project with another rapper.
Let’s hope the latter isn’t the case.
