Justin Timberlake Says He Was “Scorned” After Britney Spears Split / Wrote ‘Cry Me A River’ In Two Hours

Published: Wednesday 31st Oct 2018 by David

Justin Timberlake is speaking openly about his use of drugs in the past to help those who may have fallen into addiction via his new autobiography – Hindsight: & All the Things I Can’t See in Front of Me.

The newly released book also sees him share his thoughts on his fallout with ex Britney Spears.

Full story below…

Justin admits that he started smoking weed at 13 to cope with stress after learning that the ‘Mickey Mouse Club‘ was to be cancelled.

He said:

I started getting in trouble. I smoked pot for the first time. I got myself a can of tobacco and almost got expelled for that.

He revealed that the show’s cancellation left him lost and led him to weed, trouble, danger and mischief before he found his footing as the lead singer of the supergroup ‘NSync.

The book also detailed his feelings towards his ex-girlfriend Britney Spears – who he dated from 1998 to 2002. Sharing that he wrote ‘Cry Me A River’ just two hours after their break-up, he said:

I’ve been scorned. I’ve been pissed off. The feelings I had were so strong I had to write ‘Cry Me a River.

I wrote ‘Cry Me a River’ in two hours. I didn’t plan on writing it.

I translated my feelings into a form where people could listen and hopefully relate to it. People heard me and they understood it because we’ve all been there. I translated my feelings into a form where people could listen and hopefully relate to it.

Here’s hoping he can dig deep and conjure up something as creatively compelling because his latest musical output has been blah.

Interesting book, though.

I’m sure Janet felt the same after you acted like a b**** crying and leaving her to fend for herself.
