It’s liftoff for Lauren Jauregui!
Following releases from the likes of Camila Cabello, Dinah Jane, and Normani, the former Fifth Harmony star is the latest member of the one-time Pop quintet to strut out solo and she aims big with debut single, ‘Expectations.’
A hypnotic hymn, the track is the first offering from the songbird since signing with new label Columbia Records – home of titans Beyonce and Adele.

It strikes a potent chord by packaging a layered narrative into a radio-ready roll and, in this regard, succeeds in the way songs by the likes of Amy Winehouse and Adele did and do.The single skews more soulful than Lauren’s Fifth Harmony output yet retains the group’s Pop sensibility by way of its catchy hook and memorable melody.
As first swings of the bat go, the 22-year-old has knocked it out of the park. And, let us tell it, she’s done so with a track that has landed on fertile ground with potential on multiple formats.

Alright now. I think camilla going solo first and having big success really push these girls to go hard. This song really hits the spot for me. I especially love how Lauren and Normani feel like solo acts with their own style and not girls from a girl group.
Sadly Dinah had the weakest offering. She released the cheapest track with no direction from H5 previous material.

came here to listen to Lauren and instead spent almost 3 minutes looking for whatever fkn audio tgj was auto playing in the background. when will this site be redesigned? you guys have WAY TOO MUCH GOING ON and it hasn’t changed since the hey-day of blogs in the late 2000s.
