Tinashe Eliminated From Dancing With The Stars

Published: Tuesday 16th Oct 2018 by Sam

Tinashe may be one of the most talented names on this season’s Dancing With The Stars, but that simply wasn’t enough.

Because, the R&B belle has been sent home from the ABC competition.

Details below…

Currently in its fourth week, the current cycle of the show paired duos with a DWTS alum for Trio Night.

25-year-old Tinashe and partner Brandon Armstrong joined Amy Purdy and together they performed a Tango – earning 26/30 from the judges.

However, the all-important public vote did not favor them.

Much like last week (where they scored 27/30), the pair found themselves in “jeopardy” – this time against Evanna Lynch and Keo Motsepe.

And it was Nashe and Armstrong who were sent home.

***************

Going this early has to sting, especially as sustained exposure almost certainly must be the reason she signed up in the first place. After all, a seasoned dancer competing with novices kinda sorta doesn’t make sense – in any other context.

In any case, she says she has an album dropping in 2019. So it’s safe to assume that will be her focus moving forward.

We want to know though: has Tinashe lost or gained momentum by going on ‘Dancing With The Stars’?

Your thoughts?

She is too talented a dancer to be competing on that show. Why not tour instead?

Talent is not enough. You have to be charming and likable and captivating. That’s what makes people pick up the phone for you. That’s what makes them buy your music. I don’t know how many people and industries Tinashe has to hear it from before it sinks in. The people who’ve told her she just doesn’t have “it” aren’t saying that because they like the way it sounds.

You are SO correct. She just doesn’t have that twinkle that draws people in. I was watching some of her videos and noticed they lack a little something extra from her. Even with good choreography there’s no little signature glance or smile or charm coming through.

“You want to be the ‘it’ girl but you ain’t got it. You got the ‘i’…but you are definitely missing the ‘t’. Proceed with caution!”

They were cheated…grocery store Joe is the worst dancer on the show and he should have been gone weeks ago

Believe it or not! Dancing with the Stars is scripted and rigged. By the way talented black women always lose on that show in example Mya, Lil Kim, Mel B, Tinashe and many others

Absolutely ridiculous that they went home when Joe, who is awful, stayed. I realize it is fan votes that have kept him. But he should have bowed out gracefully and honorably. I and my friends are getting close to not watching any more.

Entertainment industry politics has now impacted her on a show where she should have been a finalist. Nashe has pissed off the wrong power player. On another hand, Nashe comes across as a little boring…though I really like her music and personality in person.

She’s good at what she does but she does not have the IT factor. I really that’s what’s missing cos she has everything else – looks, can sing, can dance … that’s why she hasn’t soared as far as she should have by now IMHO

Normani performed the best out of all the black women on the show (in terms of voting) and still placed 3rd place (1st of all women in her season). Normani and Simone were the best in their seasons, yet they placed 3rd and 4th. This non talented white baseball player got 2nd.

Most people that watch this show are wypipo, so like American Idol, it doesn’t surprise me that this happened. I am shocked though that she went home this early though.

Lost! I’ve come to realize this girl just has an unlivable persona and her team does make bad decisions. This show was super bad For her. She’s definitely seasoned dancer and we all know her as such. So her going to the show did nothing for exposing something new that may make us take interest. It also looked like an obvious cry for attention. She could use a mini documentary that exposes her as an artist on a deeper level and share some of her personality in the best situations. A behind the scenes or a day with Nashe or her doing a web series kinda how LaToya Luckette did via YouTube. The girl just doesn’t connect man. And I think she could if they did the right things. This show was a fail! And makes her even more disliked. Damn.

She needs a hot arranged love affair or a reality tv.She needs some kind of controversy.

DWTS is like American Idol: a joke of a popularity contest. You can’t measure anyone’s success or failure by this show.

    Not good

  16. Buzz Off October 16, 2018

It’s pretty clear that she doesn’t have a big fan base the way Normani does while she was on the show.. because if you ask me .. Her dance skills are good and twice as better than Normani’s .. So I think they weren’t many people voting for her.. And It’s not because she can’t Dance.. like C’mon! She’s a Beast!
