She needs better material…she sounded so good performing The Wizard and I…I could hear every word and nuances! She should try different stuff and a mix of genres cause her album sales reflect the material…Sweet N Low ?

The industry has always been that way! Only a few special artists know how lay down the law to their labels! Sadly, most manufactured artists only do it for the money and not the art!
I don’t know what kind of deal she signed, but she’s obviously been trying to get through albums cuz she wants out of her deal.
That’s not the case in this scenario. She knows sweetener wasn’t her best work and the fan weren’t happy with it. So she channeled her sadness and loss of former boyfriend into new music.
Music is therapy and helps heal
Ariana said several times that she thought Sweetener is her best album. If her beliefs about that changed it’s clearly only because the album is a flop now. It’s true that her fans really didn’t like it though. She could’ve at least tried to make this era last longer than 20 minutes.

Breathin is one song. One good song or even two or three don’t make an album good. And her first single did well, but that was expected given the anticipation around her comeback, especially after the attack in Manchester. Her fans wanted new music. A lot of people didn’t care for it though. And look at it now. Who cares about No Tears right now? It’s already forgotten. Meanwhile, Camilla has been milking Havana for almost a year now.
Maybe this is for a re-release, because the album has done well in some territories but not others. I don’t think the album is certified in the USA yet and it has underperformed in Japan where her last two albums were successful.

Ariana can sing and make cute little hits, but she does nothing for me. She has made absolutely no impact in the industry since she debuted.
Her album is only 2 months old. Why does she keep doing this?? No one wants an album made in 2 hours back to back. Sit down and hush for a minute.
I can’t see how ppl are talking this album. Literally every song is great. The album beautifully written and produced. The wrong singles were release. Breathin, Everytime and Good and Go are easily 3 of her most beautiful songs.

@Meme – I have to agree that it is a great album. I never purchased an album by her before but I listened online and liked what I heard. She has absolutely no stick-to-itive-ness. I think a lot of the younger generation want an automatic home run on the first try and when they don’t get it they give up. It comes from the participation trophy era they grew up in.
Girl, half the songs on this album sound like kidz bop versions of real songs. From that the light is coming mess, to the mix it get it twist it whatever atrocity that sounds like a ghetto nursery rhyme, there’s a lot wrong with the album. The other half the album is mostly non impactful fillers and snooze tracks like blazed, successful, and her lackluster version of rem. I like Breathin, GIAW, and Everytime, the album is cohesive, and the wrong singles were chosen, but overall this wasn’t a great album. And it’s absolutely her most forgettable. Her own stans don’t care anymore.
She as many artists today are adapting to this method because the listening audience becomes very bored and a lot of today’s pop stars will not achieve legendary status so they would rather strike the iron while it’s hot.
Of course she has a new album coming…she collected enough tragedies again to promote it. ?♂️
It flopped. Everything since My Everything has been moderately successful. There have been good songs like ‘Be Alright’ but none has matched the rawness & naturality of My Everything. Something sort of Like The Emancipation of Mimi & the following Mariah albums, there was just that rawness & truthfulness & soulfulness missing yet the songs are good because they were made trying to reach that soulful point.
I’m going to blow up in ’19. Tamar is doing a new album. Yay . . . I didn’t have my tracks done for her in time for Bluebird, but she WILL record some of my tracks on her new project. I need to send some fire Ariana’s way too.
