SZA would sound much better on this song. I do like Normani, she’s a great performer and she can sing. She’s just not distinct. I’d never be able to tell who this was, she has a generically pleasant voice. She needs to set herself apart vocally if she wants to be bigger because now she’s just kinda fitting in with everyone else.
This is 1000 times better than Love Lies – I don’t understand why that snoozefest got people excited ??♂️ Now I would pay this girl no mind as a casual listener – but the dark urban sensual delivery of this track got me paying attention. Love Lies is still her best solo song… nothing she has released I’ve liked outside of that song… I personally don’t see it performing well on urban radio unless payola is involved… definitely not a hit record… still wish this young lady well
