She is from the Bronx so she’s 100% American. Her family lineage is from Trinidad and The Dominican Republic which was invaded and colonized by Spaniards which is why they speak Spanish. So Cardi not be from Spain but she is very much Spanish- in culture, in lingo, in food, in music, in dance. You must not be from New York. When we say Spanish we don’t really mean from spain, we mean latino. But seeing as though she is Dominican she obvi has some Spaniard in her at some point in her lineage.
