For the first time since the dawn of her career Nicki Minaj has hit a commercial snag. Perhaps worsened by her affiliation with the polarising Tekashi 69 and absence of an ‘Anaconda‘-sized hit, the rapper’s ‘Queen‘ era has been slow burning…to say the least.
Last night, the British paper ‘The Sun’ accurately reported that the tour she launched to support the album was struggling to move tickets.
This morning, following her appearance at the European Music Awards, a light has appeared at the end of the tunnel.
In the hours following her performances, tickets for the ‘NickiHndrxx Tour’ began to see an upsurge in sales in the U.K. and mainland Europe thanks to fans who swarmed Ticketmaster to nab seats to support the venture.
Seeing Mias wee face today when me and @samboslam told her we got her Nicki Minaj tickets made me so happy – can’t wait for her to get to see her queen in real life x

A far cry from the worrying state of the show hours before the performance.
Thousands and thousands of tickets for her show remain unsold and it’s just not good at all, especially as she already had to postpone her US dates earlier this year because her album wasn’t ready.
Here’s hoping this episode will inspire the ‘Queen’ to spend more time promoting her material outside of the U.S.
