Stream Queens: Beyonce, Ravyn Lenae & CeCe Penniston Own Spotify With New Numbers

Published: Monday 3rd Dec 2018 by David

Cece Penniston, Ravyn Lenae and Beyonce have much to celebrate in the weeks leading up to Christmas thanks to the millions who are supporting their material on Spotify.

Fantastic news for the ladies below…

When the clock struck 12 this morning all three performers saw their Spotify stats welcome an update set to put a smile on the faces of their collaborators, labels and publisher.

For, with this update came grand gains for all three on a streaming tip.

Here’s a breakdown.

After tuning into her set at this year’s Global Citizen Festival via fan-fuelled live streams Beyonce loyalists swam to Spotify to spin her jams to keep the party going after the performance wrapped.

Great news for the tracks she performed on the night and even better news for their older or “lesser known” siblings who saw their numbers received substantial bumps.

There’s 2008’s ‘Diva’ which crossed the 58 million streams point, ‘Amor Gitano’ which surpassed the 11 million marker, ‘Smash into You’ which now stands tall with 24 million, ‘Haunted’ with 53 million and Destiny’s Child‘s ‘Killing Time’ which crossed the 10 million point across all platforms.

Bey’s boost didn’t end there.

Rising to #11 on iTunes South Africa was her Ed Sheeran duet ‘Perfect’ as her last two albums fared just as well as on iTunes Albums Charts globally.

Just as elated this morning is Atlantic Records star Ravyn Lenae.

Lenae is fast becoming one of the world’s fastest-rising acts on a streaming tip thanks to a following powered by organic support from her label and positive word-of-mouth reviews from a powerful fan base dotted across the planet.

How powerful you ask? Check this out.

1.5 million unique listeners spin her material on the streaming service each month propelling her tunes to epic levels sans the full support of radio.

Her highest movers?

Her latest body of work ‘Crush’ dropped in February and delivered the track ‘Sticky’ which holds 9.8 million spins as of today.

Last but not least?

Cece Peniston dropped ‘Finally’ on September 23rd 1991 and has seen it sell over 10 million copies worldwide since its unveiling.

Now, she watches a new generation of music lovers fall in love with the cut as they discover it online. As a result? Numbers just as high as her crystal clear notes. How high? 27 million on Spotify and 100 million across all platforms.

Congratulations to all.

Did you stream any of them?
