Since announcing the arrival of her new album ‘MDNA’, Madonna has ensured she be the subject of many a headline. And while her “Pop royal” status was always going to command the attention of the masses, it’s her comments on megastar Lady GaGa which has drawn the most gasps.

Indeed, the Material Girl has not held back in relaying her belief that the ‘Born This Way’ singer’s output has been “reductive” and lifted from her own.

Watch: Fantasia Rocks Super Bowl Gospel Celebration

“Some of ya’ll too cute. Some ya’ll trying to figure out what I’m doing. But don’t worry about me, cos if you don’t get yours, I’m gon get mine!”

The words of a spirited Fantasia after her headlining set at the Super Bowl Gospel Celebration in Indianapolis over the weekend.

And while she’d fare much better if she simply didn’t speak on the “drama” (ultimately keeping it a “hot topic”, our terrain here at That Grape Juice is her musical output and nothing more.

Hot Shots: Rihanna Hits Hollywood Club Circuit

In what’s becoming commonplace these days, Rihanna has been snapped arriving at yet another nightclub.

The hazy-eyed model, who seems to be channelling chart rival Beyonce these days, donned an a barely-there ensemble as she made a bee-line for the Greystone Manor hotspot last night.

We thought it was just her vocals, yet it seems everything from her appearance to behaviour is growing more erratic by the day.

Being the caring site we are, we’ve been angling for the Bajan to “get some rest” for a hot minute. Yet judging by her latest antics (hair, tattoos, incessant partying), perhaps the stage is the best place for her. Even if our ears and eyes feel otherwise.

Random Replay: Janet Jackson Performs At Super Bowl 2004

For many, Madonna‘s Super Bowl showing tonight is a “must-see”, as it’s the first time in years that a bonafide megastar has taken to the stage of all stages.

Indeed, recent years have seen the likes of the Black Eyed Peas bestowed the honour of headlining the ratings juggernaut. However, few acts – if any – have eclipsed the aura of “must-see” that was Janet Jackson‘s 2004 headline grabbing performance.

Sadly marred by the now infamous ‘wardrobe malfunction’, the Queen of Pop staged a stellar spectacle, which boasted killer choreography, special effects, and sass aplenty – all of which reaffirmed her Pop royal status.

Can the Material Girl one-up her long-time rival? The answer awaits in a matter of hours. Pending then, peep Ms. Jackson in action.

Best of British: Jamelia

Since splashing onto the scene, aged 18, with breakthrough single ‘Money’, there’s been no looking back for R&B belle Jamelia.

Easily one of the UK’s most successful Black female acts, the Birmingham-bred star has wracked-up an impressive catalogue of hits since her 2000 debut, ‘Drama’.

Indeed, each of her 3 studio albums – the last of which was released in 2007 – have spurned singles that are etched in Britain’s Urban history book.

Hailed by many as the UK’s answer to Beyonce (if not for her talent, then the length and breadth of her success), the singer’s most notable streak was ushered in with her 2004 mainstream breakthrough ‘Thank You’. Certified double Platinum and housing her biggest hits to date, the project – in many regards – is what cemented the 31 year old as an all-round Pop force.

So, for these reasons and much more, we salute Jamelia as one the Best of British.

Watch: ‘The Voice’ Super Bowl Commercial (‘Vokal Combat’)

Christina Aguilera and co are back tonight for the 2nd season of The Voice!

And so as to whet appetites for the action ahead, the show’s network NBC have conjured a hilarious commercial.

Christened ‘Vocal Kombat’, the show’s battle-spoof will air during tonight’s Super Bowl, and will no doubt drum up heightened buzz for series premiere – which kicks off immediately after the football extravaganza.

Hot Shots: Fantasia Makes Emotional Stage Return

A Soul-filled Fantasia brought the house down in her first performance since giving birth two months ago.

The ‘When I See You’ singer was joined by her mother as she headlined the Super Bowl Gospel Celebration 2012, which took place at the Clowes Memorial Hall last night.

And by all accounts, Ms. Barrino shut it down – news which makes us all the more amped for her new album!
