It’s been over a decade since R&B singers Monica and Brandy had their monster hit ‘The Boy Is Mine’. Now, in an interview with HipHollywood.com, Monica has revealed that a followup to the tune may be in the works. The ‘Still Standing’ singer was reacting to the recent praise she received from Brandy and used the opportunity to discuss how they ended their notorious feud. Check out the video below:
Brandy‘s new VH1 reality show ‘A Family Business’ has proved a ratings winner, with it’s weekly dishing up of drama no doubt a major factor of its success. Last night’s episode was no different, with the singer shown hitting out at former friend and collaborator Rodney ‘Darkchild’ Jerkins to brother Ray J, who is set to work with the hitmaker.

The siblings have been busy promoting the premiere of their new Vh1 reality show, ‘Family Business’, which debuts on April 11th at 9pm. Ray J is no stranger to reality TV as he had successful seasons of his show ‘For The Love Of Ray J’ - in which Brandy regular featured – on Vh1.
Some of you may remember Jennifer Lopez‘s ill-fated ‘comeback’ single from last year ‘Louboutins’. Well, as previously reported, the song was initially recorded by R&B star Brandy for inclusion on her forthcoming project; however, The-Dream penned track was left on the cutting room floor, thereafter being snapped up by Lopez.
In any case, Brandy’s version of the song – albeit unmastered and unfinished - has surfaced. While one would presume Ms. Norwood’s version would be better – which it is, her vocal trills, adlibs and whatnot, cannot take away the fact that the song just isn’t very good. Still, judge for yourself…

Brandy and Monica enjoyed their Easter weekend by partying in Miami, Florida. The duo, who shared a monster hit in the 90′s with ‘The Boy Is Mine’, had reason to celebrate as Monica’s new album, ‘Still Standing’ rests comfortably at the #2 position on the Billboard 200. Last week, Brandy and her brother Ray J revealed that they have been inspired by Monica’s recent successes at the top of the music charts.
Are they? Aren’t they? That seems to be the question on everyone’s lips about R&B star Brandy and Flo’ Rida. Though the pair continue to side-step such line of questioning, they made a very public show of their ‘friendship’ yesterday in Miami at the 1st Annual Kids Spring & Break Into Motivation event. Ms. Norwood flew in Los Angeles to make join the ‘Right Round’ rapper. Hmmm…LOL. In any case, more power to them
