Brandy Hits The Studio With Oak / Previews New Material


The Vocal Bible Brandy has been hard at work sewing together her new studio album, her first since 2012’s ‘Two Eleven’.

Juggling recording with her acting gig on ‘The Game’, B-Rocka hit the studio with Oak Felder and Pop Wansel over the weekend to cook up songs for the as yet untitled set.

With fans thirsty for previews of new music, the singer obliged with two snippets.

Brandy Teams Up With Nile Rodgers For New Song ‘Number 1’


She may be hard at work on an epic new album, but that hasn’t stopped Brandy from lending her voice to a ‘Number 1’ single this month!

Its name? ‘Number 1’, fronted by the band Mystery Skulls and featuring the legend that is Nile Rodgers, who does his part to support the group’s debut album ‘Forever’ before its October 27th due date.

The singer/actress has made no secret of the fact that her life has “changed” of late, with the emotions she experienced following said occurrence set to serve as the foundation of the new LP.

As such, when we caught up with the star at the Hollywood Confidential event in Los Angeles recently, we had to ask about the project and, of course, her other upcoming plans – including her return to ‘The Game’ on BET.

Hot Shots: Brandy Stuns & Shares At ‘The Hollywood Confidential’


The stars were out in full force this week for the 2nd annual Hollywood Confidential event – which this year boasted vocal bible Brandy on the panel.

Presented by Walgreens and Brand Maverick Entertainment, the event (which took place at the packed-to-capacity Montalban Theatre in Hollywood, CA) sought to educate aspiring industry professionals on the inner workings of the business – with a particular focus on longevity.

That Grape Juice were in the house and loved it! For, it was both entertaining and informative for the audience of tomorrow’s next major names.

The other anchoring panelists at the Steve Jones production were actresses Meagan Good and Tichina Arnold.
