Much like our ‘Retro Rewind’ and ‘From the Vault’ segments, readers of That Grape Juice know what avid music lovers we are – especially of hits past. So in a quest to re-spin the gems and jams of yesterday we introduced a new retrospective segment – ‘TGJ Replay’.

Unlike its ‘Rewind’ and ‘Vault’ predecessors, ‘Replay’ looks to dust off and showcase albums (and eras) from a library of pop music hits. Today, we rewind to the record-setting, first and only solo LP of Black Eyed Peas frontwoman Fergie (who celebrates her 38th birthday today)…

Report: Fergie Announces Pregnancy

‘Big Girls Don’t Cry’ beauty Fergie will definitely have new reason to sing that song if her recent announcement is anything to go by. Indeed, the Black Eyed Peas frontwoman set Twitter ablaze moments ago with news of expecting her first child with husband Josh Duhamel.

The news comes as little surprise to fans of the 37-year-old hitmaker as she expressed to Oprah months ago that she had a desire to start a family soon. Congratz to the happy couple! (source)

Fergie Promises 2nd Solo Album; Already Working On LP

While Fergie‘s sole solo album, ‘The Dutchess’, pre-dates That Grape Juice, it’s fair to say the Black Eyed Peas star had the industry at her beck and call during her singular breakthrough.

Indeed, hit after mega-hit defined her 2006 solo run; a fact which saw her serve as one of the biggest female acts at the time and a fact which has made her solo silence since then wholly puzzling.

For, even though the Peas went on to achieve even greater success upon their return (see: ‘The E.N.D’, ‘I Gotta Feeling’), many still long for another Fergie singular outing.

Well, it appears the 37 year old has listened to those calls.

At the Cell Phones For Soldiers Voli Light Vodka Party last night, the singer (real name Stacy Ferguson) revealed that she is working on a second solo project.

New Song: Fergie – ‘Feel Alive (Ft Pitbull)’

Without a doubt, Fergie remains one of Pop’s more gifted vocalists.

However, in what we’d say is her only flaw as a belter, she has a habit of ‘oversinging’… well-screaming her songs.

Unfortunately, this trait is all too evident in her new song ‘Feel Alive’, released in aid of ‘Step Up Revolution‘ featuring Euro Pop maestro Pitbull.

Featured in the magazine to promote the premiere of 1 OAK Las Vegas at the Mirage Hotel & Casino at which she will be attending, the cover arrives just days after the ‘Black Eyed Peas‘ announced that they are to temporarily disband.
