Freshly Squeezed: J. Drew – ‘Flight’

On the hems of his top rated BET reality show ‘The Sheards’, the unit’s youngest J. Drew readies the release of his latest mixtape ‘Never Coming Back’.  Available May 6th, the StarTrak producer has already teased fans with some of its offerings via a well-received trailer,  but now the ‘Absolution’ craftsman is ready to soar with the EP’s lead single.

Freshly Squeezed: Veronica ft. 2 Chainz – ‘What Happened To Us’

In a quest to continue its genre expansion, Cash Money CEO Birdman (aka Baby) unveils the visual of Chicagoan songbird Veronica – one of the latest signees to Miami-based record label.

Fans on the mixtape circuit have long known of V as she has certainly made her rounds over the past few years aboard Myspace and a number of other outlets.  Now, with Cash Money backing her yet-titled official debut effort, the songstress shares ‘What Happened To Us’ – the Polow Da Don produced cut which features rapper 2 Chainz.

Watch: Elijah Blake – ‘XOX (Lyric Video)’

As the world of Pop falls deeper into 2013, it’s clear to see that this year will provide no shortage of hotly anticipated music.

Of course, there’s Beyonce‘s fifth studio album, Justin Timberlake‘s third LP and Britney Spears‘ eighth, and now- in serving as one of the year’s newcomers- Elijah Blake readies the release of his debut effort, following the launch of ‘Bijoux 22‘ last year.

So, as to oil his machine before setting its wheels in motion, he releases the lyric video for his single ‘XOX’, featuring ‘Electric Circus‘ Rapper Common.

Freshly Squeezed: Lachardon (Must Hear!)

If Brandy is the anointed Vocal Bible, then New Jersey-born beauty Lachardon is undoubtedly one of her faithful disciples.  Armed with a jazzy melisma rivaled by few you’ll find, Lachardon – born LaTayvia Cherry – has sweetly slipped her infectious vocal stylings all over well known hits for the last few years much to critical acclaim.

Now, the songstress is hard at work mixing up ‘Lemonade’ – her debut EP.  Executive produced by Cherry herself, the set is on board to showcase the same honey vocals that have drawn many to buzz.  Reportedly eyeing a May 2013 for release  (That Grape Juice learned exclusively), to that we exclaim…if this is the ‘Lemonade’ she’s serving – we’re definitely buying!

New Song: Elijah Blake – ‘Vicky’s Secret’

With the success of his Bijoux 22‘ LP forcing many a Pop fiend to sit up and pay attention, 2013 will welcome the launch of Elijah Blake‘s debut album- hitting stores courtesy of Def Jam/Roc Nation.

Carving the lane for his material by way of cuts penned for part time vocalist Rihanna and R&B icon Usher, his arrival on the scene will mark the latest contribution to the genre by Def Jam, also responsible for Frank Ocean and ‘Make Me Love To Me’ singer Luke James.

Now check out ‘Vicky’s Secret‘, one of the strongest jams on ‘Bijoux’ and one we hope to hear on album #1.

Freshly Squeezed: Introducing…Jennah Bell

Say hello to Jennah Bell.

The name may indeed ring a bell for viewers of the 2012 BET Awards as she was chosen as this year’s ‘Music Matters’ pick – an outlet that gave the soulstress her first nationally televised chance to showcase her unique blend of “folk-soul”.  Dripping with R&B fusion, Bell’s refreshing blend of genres is reminiscent of ‘Southern Hummingbird’ Tweet, yet housed in an innocence reminiscent of Corrine Bailey Rae.

Despite all she is likened to, it’s safe to say what Jennah is bringing is indeed all her own as evidenced by her long awaited ‘Monster Killer’ visual.  Directed by Rafael Casal, the single comes as one of many gems listed on ‘Live at Mother NY’ EPClick here to stream that full album.

Blessed, might be one word to describe ‘Everything’ singer Elijah Blake.

Arriving on the scene courtesy of cuts penned for other artists, last week saw the 22 year old take the net by storm with the release of the critically acclaimed mix tape, ‘Bijoux 22‘, by way of Roc Nation and Def Jam Recordings.

Now, less than four days after launch, the release has etched his name into the label’s history books.

That Grape Juice Interviews Elijah Blake

He’s the Grammy nominated writer responsible for Usher’s ‘Climax’, Rihanna‘s ‘No Love Allowed’ and Keyshia Cole‘s ‘Enough Of No Love’.

Now, with the backing of Def Jam Recordings, Roc Nation and a fan base aptly named ‘The Eligiance‘, Elijah Blake steps into the light with the release of the hotly anticipated EP, ‘Bijoux 22‘.

So, as long time fans of his work, That Grape Juice were honored to catch up with the rising star last week- for an interview which saw him discuss the NO ID pushed EP, his journey to the top and his work for Ciara, Keyshia Cole and the Pop Icon, Britney Spears.
