The “will they, won’t they” continues.
With the Grammy Awards merely days away, music lovers rejoiced at the top of the week when the show’s network CBS confirmed that Beyonce will be taking to the stage at the extravaganza.
Later that day, though, the confirmation commercial was suspiciously pulled and replaced with one that omitted King B and hubby Jay-Z.
Despite the confusion this caused, insiders maintain that the whole thing was a deliberate rouse designed to heighten the “surprise” factor come Sunday.
Now, Hits Daily Double report that the industry’s first couple will be performing their latest smash ‘Drunk In Love’.

‘Hola’ Hovito‘ performer Jay Z has signed on to headline ‘DirecTV’s Super Bowl 2014 party, it has emerged- slated to be joined on stage by ‘Haunted’ singer/songwriter Beyonce.

With digital downloads and online streams becoming two of the more dominant ingredients in the recipe of most of Billboard Hot 100 hits today, critics started to argue that topping the chart had become easier than ever to achieve. But, despite the likes of Jay Z, Drake, and Beyonce making headlines in 2013 for moving some of the year’s most impressive numbers on Billboard 200, they have another commonality – no Hot 100 #1 singles.
In fact, they join a bevy of African American hitmakers (i.e. Alicia Keys, Kanye West, J. Cole) who delivered chart-topping albums in late 2012 or 2013 without the aid of a similarly successful single.
Even this generation’s Hot 100 queen Rihanna, whose #1 single ‘Diamonds’ was dethroned two weeks before 2013′s beginning, did not see her name stamped atop the tally [as a leading act] for a song she released this year…

After yielding year-end tallies based on chart stats and critic picks, our friends over at Billboard have turned the polls over to fans in quest to find out who the people thought was the ‘album of the year’.
To the surprise of many, the appointed – pop superstar Lady Gaga – did not see her name on the music Bible’s chart or critics’ picks – yet she topped every major category of the reader’s poll.
Taking honors in ‘Favorite Album’, ‘Favorite Music Video’, and ‘MVP’ of the year, see what other names were dominated by the diva in the tally and tell us if you agree:

Three years after joining forces on Kanye West’s ‘Monster‘, Jay-Z and Nicki Minaj found themselves brought together again last week, when the former honoured the latter at Denver’s Pepsi Centre.
There, the Rap icon delivered a unique rendition of the Grammy nominees’ ‘Beez in the Trap‘, served over Coldplay‘s Ken Nelson-produced ‘Clocks.’
