Hot Shot: JLS Cover Fabulous

Peep Pop quad JLS on the cover of Fabulous magazine’s latest issue.

Putting aside the usual quips and gags (it’s actually too easy), this is actually a great shot. One which is conceptually executed rather well (see: “Boys to Men” tagline). It’d be awesome if their music followed suit.

Donning a gothic black ensemble, the ‘Do It Like A Dude’ singer was all smiles as she sashayed into Scotland’s SECC where the Urban annual was held this year.  Just as well, as she she scooped the most awards on the night – taking home 4, including Album of the Year for her debut ‘Who You Are’.

Hot Shot: JLS Unveil ‘Jukebox’ Album Cover

Funky divas JLS today revealed the cover for ‘Jukebox’ – their third studio album. Due on November 14th, the colourful set is preceded by chart smash ‘She Makes Me Wanna’ and new single ‘Take A  Chance On Me’.

Beyond wondering which shade of MAC they use, I can’t but question what separates them musically and visually from what they were doing 3 years ago. When that answer is a resounding ‘nothing’, their longevity immediately comes back into question.

Still, they seem to be on a “strike while the iron’s hot” MO, so more power them them, ay?

Hot Shot: JLS Unveil Colourful New Single Cover

JLS are famed for riding…their way to the top of the charts, and will no doubt be hoping to do so with their latest single ‘Take A Chance On Me’ – the cover for which was revealed this weekend.

The shot, which features the guys perched atop of of four colourful bikes, veers into comical territory when members Aston and Oritse are viewed insolation. Indeed, erase JB and Marvin (front), and you’ve got the cover of something altogether quite different.

Still, I doubt the boys are hung up on such particulars; the song sounds like their tried-and-tested hit formula. As such should nab a solid position on the Official UK Singles Chart – deserved or not.
