Britney Spears’ ‘Femme Fatale Tour’ Rakes In $69 Million

If the last year in music has proved anything, it is that whatever industry politics, changes in the chart system and unforeseen controversies throw at an artist, nothing can hinder the success of that performer if they are backed by a loyal and willing support base.

This week saw Pop icon Britney Spears learn that lesson all too well.

For, despite the lack luster sales generated by her latest ‘Femme Fatale‘ outing, its supporting tour has raked in a whopping 69 million dollars, beating the likes of Lady GaGa and Katy Perry on this year’s list of highest grossing Pop tours.

GaGa has always been the giving kind.

Yes, in what will sure to have her fan base beaming with joy, today saw her release a brand spanking new track named ‘Stuck On F*ckin’ You’.

Written by the performer earlier on this year, the cut may remind some fans of pre- ‘Fame‘ release, ‘Blueberry Kisses‘ and features production from long time producer Fernando Garibay.

Hot Shots: Lady GaGa Turns Heads At Louis Vuitton

Japanese shoppers got a little more they had bargained for recently when ‘Black Jesus‘ songbird Lady GaGa stopped by to do a spot of shopping.

Accompanied by a team of minders, the performer was spotted at the Ginza district’s Matsuzakaya department store, reportedly splashing out at Louis Vuitton before making her way to Narita airport hours ago to catch a flight back to her home town of New York City in time for Christmas.

Amazon Slash Price Of Lady GaGa’s ‘Marry The Night’ In Bid To Boost Ailing Sales

To say the very least, the latest era of Lady GaGa‘s career has seen her singles struggle to match the successes that were ‘Bad Romance’, ‘Just Dance‘ and ‘Poker Face‘.

So, in an attempt to force her latest single ‘Marry The Night‘ into higher chart ground, Amazon have slashed its sale price, days after her fans attempted to carry out a mass download of the cut in time for this chart week.

Though it may be hard to believe, Lady GaGa‘s latest album ‘Born This Way‘ has only spawned one #1 single since its release in May of this year.

Yes, despite the cinematic nature of their videos, intense promotional campaign that supported them and the critical acclaim they have received- ‘Judas‘, ‘You & I‘ and ‘Marry The Night‘ have all failed to reach the top of the Billboard Hot 100.
