Jennifer Lopez‘AKA‘ may be destined for commercial failure, but today sees Lana Del Rey avoid such a fate with the release of her new video, ‘Shades of Cool.’

Released before its parent album ‘Ultraviolence‘ is set to top the Billboard 200 with a predicted first week figure of 200,000 units, the video comes courtesy of Rey and director Jake Nava and explores Rey’s love of “silver surfers”, decadence and dramatic storytelling.
