After nabbing a #1 album with her self titled debut effort and its 2009 follow up, Ms. Luckett is readying her third solo LP, documenting the experience by way of an online series.
Following a lengthy rest on the bench, the songstress has rebooted her ‘Life, Love & Music’ web series — the first chapter of the star’s new story. Check out webisode 6, which (finally) features a meatier musical skew, below!
Destiny has certainly been kind to Kelly Rowland and LeToya Luckett.
The former Destiny’s Child band-mates looked all sorts of lush as they caught up at Atlanta’s Prive earlier this week.
While the snap may come as a surprise to some, the pair have photographed together on multiple occasions since rekindling their friendship several years ago.
As many will recall, Luckett and LaTavia Roberson were ousted from the Grammy winning group in 2000 after requesting new management. DC’s remaining members Rowland and Beyonce would go on to recruit Michelle Williams – a decision that would see the collective go on to achieve the lion-share of their epic success.
Having enjoyed a solid solo run (one she’s looking to extend with her third studio album), Lady L recently revealed that she’s continuing to flex her acting muscles thanks to a new main cast role on VH1′s ‘Single Ladies’.
Watch her talk EXCLUSIVELY to That Grape Juice about her latest endeavors after the jump…
As a collective, Destiny’s Child are one of the most successful groups of all-time. Moreover, though, eight years since their split, each of the group’s members have gone on to achieve solo success that has served to strengthen the DC “brand”.
Continuing the trajectory in the here and now are Michelle Williams and LeToya Luckett, both of who we caught up with this week at Debra Lee’s Pre-BET Awards Gala 2013. Watch above as Williams dishes on her new Urban inspirational project (led by new single ‘If We Had Your Eyes’), while Luckett talks joining the cast of hit VH1 show ‘Single Ladies’. Of course, we had to quiz Ms. Luckett on her musical endeavours too. Hit ‘PLAY’ for the tea.
How hot do Alexandra Burke, LeToya Luckett and Adrienne Bailon look together?
The trio looked like a bag of money and good living on the set of a commercial for celebrity make-up artist AJ Crimson‘s new range.
Each of the ladies are working on respective albums; UK-bred Burke is piecing together her US debut, while Luckett is cooking up her third solo LP; former 3LW and Cheetah Girls singer Adrienne is readying her first project under Ne-Yo‘s Compound imprint.
Much like our ‘Retro Rewind’ and ‘From the Vault’ segments, readers of That Grape Juice know what avid music lovers we are – especially of hits past. So in a quest to re-spin the gems and jams of yesterday we introduced a new retrospective segment – ‘TGJ Replay’.
Unlike its ‘Rewind’ and ‘Vault’ predecessors, ‘Replay’ looks to dust off and showcase albums (and eras) from a library of pop music hits. Today, we lend a look back at Letoya Luckett‘s self-titled, solo debut album…
R&B forces collided recently, when ‘Torn‘ singer Letoya Luckett caught up with ‘Lose Control’ stunner Keri Hilson in Texas.
Snapped posing it up at the former’s high end boutique, Lady Elle, the R&B divas were pictured months before fans can expect new music from Keri, whose last album, ‘No Boys Allowed’ debuted on the Billboard 200 with 102,000 units.
Their sighting also comes two weeks after Luckett watched her Destiny’s Child sisters rock the Super Bowl 2013 Halftime Show as part of Beyonce‘s commitment to the event, now available to watch here!
