As 2013 draws to close, the onslaught of year-in-review charts are making their way online. For music fans everywhere, however, there is only one chart that truly matters – Billboard’s year end charts.
Indeed, with a year filled with the likes of top hits like ‘Royals’ by newcomer Lorde or unexpected runaway hits like Robin Thicke‘s ‘Blurred Lines’, fans and industry insiders alike wait with bated breath to learn of the year’s top performers.
With statistical data based on radio airplay audience impressions, sales data, and streaming activity data provided by online music sources (i.e. Pandora, Youtube), 2013′s year-end tally has quite the few surprises with newcomers seeming to be running the ranking’s upper half.

It has certainly been Taylor Swift‘s week. For, not only did she see her name etched in history books for being the first female act to sell 1 million copies of a single album in one week twice, she has now notched her 56th (yes, you read that right) entry on Billboard’s Hot 100.
How, you ask? Well, with 4 top 10 singles from her most recent album ‘Red’ (‘We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together’, ‘Red’, ‘I Knew You Were Trouble’, ‘Begin Again’), Swift just added 5 new titles to the Hot 100 – bringing her tally to 9 entries from one album simultaneously.
But, she’s not the only one celebrating this week. Ke$ha, Rihanna, and Chris Brown have all seen considerable gains on the singles front. Read about it all below:

As Christina and co. continue to cook up the promo for their long awaited return to ‘The Voice’ for its sophomore season, the rock and rollers (sans Cee Lo Green) dropped by Ellen today to chat about everything from the competition (X Factor US lineup changes, etc.), new music, and more!
The ‘Dirrty’ diva even shared dibs about her (now) infamous showing of ‘At Last’ at Etta James’ recent memorial service (but no dish on that mystery fluid).
