While Miguel is moulding his third studio album, the soul-filled crooner gives fans a feel of the new with new song ‘SimpleThings’.
The guitar driven number is lifted from the latest soundtrack to HBO hit ‘Girls’.
Due February 11th, ‘Girls, Vol. 2: All Adventurous Women Do…’ also features songs from the likes of Lily Allen and Vampire Weekend.

Looks like legendary ‘You’ve Got A Friend’ songstress Carole King has more than just a few friends in the music industry – as evidenced by the collection of the today’s biggest pop stars who gathered to honor her at L.A. Convention Center last night.
The Grammy winning songstress, named 2014 MusiCares Person of the Year, was tributed at the annual gala by the likes of Lady Gaga, Alicia Keys, Miguel, will.i.am, P!nk, and so many more.
Of course, as the annual homage is one of the must-see pre-Grammy events, it drew out a bevy of the industry’s top names like Aerosmith‘s Steven Tyler, Ozzy & Sharon Osbourne, Jason Mraz, Yoko Ono, Leann Rimes, Ciara, MC Lyte, and many more. Check below to see if your fave was in attendance:

The countdown to the 56th Annual Grammy Awards is officially.
This Sunday’s extravaganza is poised to make quite the impact with performances from some of music’s biggest names – a list that is reported to include Beyonce and Madonna.
And while speculation mounts about the divas involvement with the show, the evening’s seating arrangements only pour fuel on the flames.
Access Hollywood have been on-hand at the venue of the spectacle (LA’s Staples Center), and today shared snaps of who is sitting where on music’s biggest calendar night.
As you see above, Mr and Mrs Carter have – naturally – been awarded front row spot. Where will everyone else be placed?

When one’s career is as celebrated as Miguel‘s, it should come as little surprise that his gift now finds itself sought after by acts he considered to be inspiration during his come-up.
Now, after working his magic on Mariah Carey to create the Platinum ‘Beautiful’, the R&B life-force has showered praise on ‘Killing Time‘ performer Beyonce, whom he has called liberating in a new interview with our pals over at ‘Vibe‘.

As far as R&B goes, Miguel’s arrival has come as nothing of a God-send.
Fact not opinion. For, with a vocal prowess few are able to match and material that’s now seen him sought after by the likes of Beyonce and Mariah Carey, Miguel has gone a long way to prove that his genre is-contrary to public opinion-anything but dead.
Fortunately for the star, his recent contributions to music haven’t gone unnoticed and have earned him a brand new manager set to take him above and beyond the realm he currently resides in.

Undoubtedly at the forefront of R&B’s slow but steady reintroduction to Pop culture, Miguel continues to soar above many of his contemporaries by way of his ‘Adorn’ driven ‘Kaleidoscope Dream.’
So, it’s no surprise that he’s earned fresh praise from the Grammy committee this year, nominated for two awards one month before he attends the show’s 56th annual serving.

The 2013 Soul Train Awards, which aired tonight, saw R&B’s finest go head-to-head for the show’s coveted trophies.
With the likes of Urban music’s finest, including Kendrick Lamar, Tamar Braxton, Justin Timberlake, K.Michelle and more leading the nominations tally with at least 5 nods a piece, the competition was stiff in ways we’ve only seen from Britney Spears in the past.
Now, that the show is over, find out who picked up which awards in which categories at the high profile outing below…

As to thank them for the support they’ve shown him since his debut, the good people of Philadelphia were treated to a surprise show put on by Grammy winning singer Miguel hours ago!
Taking place after his Drake led ‘Would You Like a Tour?’ show in the city was cancelled due to technical errors, the show saw the star round up his band and speed to Ortlieb’s Lounge.
Why the entertainer is so well loved?
